| As Monday night Raw continues on, we're taken backstage to Cody Rhodes's locker room, where he and his longtime girlfriend, Kaitlyn, are found talking. Cody It was an accident. And I sincerely apologized to him. But he just refuses to even talk to me. Drew on the other hand sent me a text saying, "lol, thanks for the help, good luck at the Rumble, #Betterthanyou." I just can't catch a break around here. Kaitlyn I'm sure that he'll come around. If it really was an accident, then he'll realize that. You two can't go into your match butting heads, things will end badly that way. He's smart enough to know that. And so are you. Cody You're right, I guess I've just got to give him some time to cool down. I actually haven't seen him yet tonight. He is booked isn't he? Kaitlyn Yeah, I saw his name on the card. Cody I guess he's just trying to avoid me then. Whatever, I can't deal with that right now. I've got to focus on my match with this Eddie Edwards guy. Some new kid, too bad I'll have to give him his first loss. Kaitlyn Don't be like that. Cody Okay, okay, I'm sorry. Cody moves closer to Kaitlyn and smiles, putting his arms around her. Cody How did I get so lucky? The two share a small laugh then kiss. Cody moves over to his locker and pulls out his boots, sitting down in a chair and strapping them on. Kaitlyn moves behind him and begins to rub his shoulders. Cody Ah, that feels good. Edge really did a number on me last week. It was like he had some sort of vendetta against me. Like he was out to prove something. It seems like everyone from my past, the guys that I use to call my friend, even my best friends, have some sort of grudge against me. Edge, Christian, Drew, Punk all of them. Dolph is the only that I've managed to patch things up with. He's the only one that doesn't look at me the wrong way. And he's putting his career on the line at the Rumble. Huh, *he looks down at his boots and smiles* I'd never be willing to give this up. This is my life, *he turns back to his locker and reaches into it, pulling out a small black box*, a life that I want to share with you . . . Cody turns to Kaitlyn and gets down on one knee, reaching his arms out and opening up the box. Inside of it is a beautiful diamond ring. Kaitlyn blushes, her mouth hanging open. She puts one hand over her mouth and lets Cody take her other hand into his. Cody takes the ring out of it's box and slides it onto Kaitlyn's finger, looking up at her and smiling. Cody Kaitlyn, will you marry me? A single tear drops down Kaitlyn's face as she holds her hand up into the air. Kaitlyn . . . YES! YES! I WILL! Cody springs up and takes his fiance into his arms. The two hold each other tight, hopping around a bit before they're interrupted. ??? Congratulations . . . (To be continued by the best man.) | |

| A very dry clap is heard echoing through the room as Cody and Kaitlyn separate, looking to the new entry of the room. The camera pans back to find Christian, clapping his hands together, a grimace on his face. Cody Oh, hey there Christian. [Christian] Hey Cody. Long time no see, Kaitlyn. I'm sorry to intrude on such an, er, beautiful occasion such as this one. But, I have things I have to take care of as well. Something such as the case of what happened last week, Cody. I overheard you talking, as well, and it's cute, to see how blind you are to what you do. These people from your past, well, me, doesn't have an issue with you at all. I think it's quite the opposite to tell you the truth man. I think it's you that has an issue with me. Cody gives Christian a look that is obviously a look of surprise. [Christian] Yeah, I know what I just said. I think it's you that has a problem with me. Why else would my so-called "friend" screw me out of an opportunity as golden as the one I had last week? But you know, I guess it's only right, isn't it? You probably couldn't handle the fact that I was finally doing something right in my career. I've finally moved away from needing the idea of a faction behind me, and that was unsettling to you, so you costed me the match. Tell me if I'm seeing things wrong man. I think it's time to get it all on the table. Christian stands in front of the duo, awaiting a response. (See, when you put nice things like that in the "tbc" spots, it sucks to be all dickish in my promos. <3 Open to my BFF) | |

| Cody lowers his head and takes a deep breath. He looks at his new fiance, then at Christian. Cody Christian, you know that that's a lie. What happened last week was an accident. Plain and simple. IF it was anyone's fault, it was yours. If you hadn't gotten so cocky, and decided to come over to the announcers table and insult me, then you wouldn't have lost the match. I think it's great that your doing better, that you're working on your problems and bettering yourself. I like that your making headway in your career. I like it because you're my friend. You're my best friend. But the way that you've been acting lately . . . It leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Your attitude needs to change, or this friendship isn't going to last long. The Royal Rumble is just two weeks away, and I'd like to going into our match as friends. But if that's not an option anymore, than we'll go in as enemies. And Christian, you know from experience that I'm not the guy you want on your bad side. Christian smirks, blowing out some air as he takes a step towards Kaitlyn. Cody steps in front of her however and holds one of his arms out. Christian What? I can't see the rock? Cody I think it's best that you leave right now, Christian. Before things turn bad. Christian laughs, raising his eyebrows, not taking Cody's suggestion seriously. Cody Christian, I want you to go. Now. Kaitlyn Babe, calm down. Christian Yeah, babe. Calm down. Cody takes a step towards Christian, Kaitlyn still behind him. He bunches up his fists, blowing some air out of his nose. (To be continued by the love of my life.) | |

| Christian smirks still, takes a step forward to where the two are nose to nose.
[Christian] Look Cody, I like you. You're one of the only friend's I have left. Most friends, let their friends, check out their fiances wedding rings. Not buck up to them in front of their new fiance. So if you don't mind,
Christian looks to take another step forward, but Cody stands still, not budging. Christian goes to take the step, and Cody pushes him back. Christian, still smiling, takes another step forward, keeping his cool. Cody yet again pushes him back. Christian takes one more step, holding up his index finger in front of him, signaling one more chance, and is pushed back again.
Christian steps up to Cody and pushes him back with all of his might, knocking Cody back, right into Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn falls to the concrete floor, hitting her head on the ground. Cody spins around, jaw dropping as Christian steps up beside of him, genuinely shocked by what just happened.

| Cody puts his hand on the back of Kaitlyn's neck and holds her head up. He turns back to look at the man that caused the damage. Christian is towering over the newly engaged couple, a blank expression on his face. Cody springs up, getting right in Christian's face, pushing him back. Cody What's your problem!? Are you insane!? Cody moves over to the locker room door and shouts down the hallway for some help. He then moves back over to where Kaitlyn is laying and crouches down next to her. She's holding her head in pain, her eyes barely open. Christian back away slowly, bumping into the medical team as they rush into the room. They surround Kaitlyn and tell Cody to stand back. He complies, moving away, but keeping his eyes on Kaitlyn. He then turns one last time to Christian, a look of pure hate. Cody . . . Go. Now. Rhodes moves towards Captain Charisma, following him as he backs out of the room. Cody then slams the door in Christian's face, the camera watching as he stares at it. His blank expression has now turned into an angry one. He slams his fist into the wall then marches off down the hallway, fading out of the shot. (Promo closed. Dwolf is the man.) | |
