Opportunity or Disappointment? Empty
PostSubject: Opportunity or Disappointment?   Opportunity or Disappointment? EmptySat Feb 22, 2014 2:58 am

*Before Raw's main event we are taken backstage where Renee Young is primed to start an interview*

Renee Young: "Welcome at this time the newly announced number one contender for the Intercontinental Title at Breaking Point, Dolph Ziggler."

*Dolph walks into frame, visibly tired from his match against Wade Barrett. He takes a sip from the bottle of water he is holding before addressing Renee*

Dolph Ziggler: "Thanks Renee, glad to be here."

Renee Young: "Now Dolph, earlier tonight you were a part of history, stating your case as to why you should be involved in the match for the World Heavyweight Championship at Breaking Point. But instead Stephanie McMahon named you the number one contender for the Intercontinental Title instead. Were you disappointed that you were excluded from such a high profile match?"

Dolph Ziggler: "You know Renee, at first I was disappointed. I wanted that match as much as, if not more than, Alberto Del Rio, Christian and Dean Ambrose. That's an all-star matchup that could have only been made better with the addition of myself. But Stephanie is right, my new outlook here in WCF is still new and will take time to sink in. With that being said, I'm sure those three men will put on a hell of a match at Breaking Point and whoever walks away as champion will put up a hell of a fight against Rumble winner Austin Aries. I'd love to claim the first title shot after Mania, but for now, my attention lies elsewhere and that is with the Intercontinental Title and current champion Triple H."

Renee Young: "Well Triple H has been on quite a streak as of late, do you have any worries about your match this Sunday?"

Dolph Ziggler: "Well Renee, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried. I was worried tonight taking on Wade Barrett, a mindset that was only exacerbated by how dominant Wade was in our match tonight. But all the worry in the world won't stop me from competing at one hundred percent. The fact that I meet Trips inside of a steel cage does not phase me. In fact, I'm keeping positive here, being inside a steel cage means no foreign objects in the match. So no chairs, shovels or even his 'equalizer'. My goal on Sunday is to give Triple H the fight of his career and to have everybody talking about how great the Intercontinental Title match was and have the World Heavyweight Championship match take a backseat in the minds of the fans. Tonight you're interviewing the number one contender for the IC title, but next Monday I expect to have some gold on my waist along with the gold on my head."

Renee Young: "Glad to hear you're making the most of the opportunity given to you Dolph. Thank you for your time and good luck on Sunday."

Dolph Ziggler: "Thanks Renee, always a pleasure."

*Dolph turns to leave but is suddenly face to face with...*
