RAW comes back from break.
JR: Well look who it is! Our newly crowned King Shawn Michaels! What did you think of his match last night King?
King: I'll be completely honest JR, I couldn't of cared less about who won. I hate both of those men. But damn it they put on a hell of a match.
Shawn steps out onto the stage to a raucous crowd chanting his name. Signs include KING HBK and LONG LIVE THE KING
Shawn smiles, but it is bittersweet. As the camera zoomz in, it is obvious that he has been crying
JR: Well, that man has seen it all. He's been through it all. But last night will surely stick out in the mind of HBK. Grueling matches, including one of the most intense finals I have ever seen. And at the end of it, HBK gets to finally add one last thing to his resume. King of the Ring.
King: I'll take my hat off to that, but look at him. He's a grown man and he's crying!
JR: Wouldn't you be emotional with this sort of support from the fans King? It is adoration and respect.
Shawn climbs into the ring and heads to the top rope, surveying the cheering fans.
King: What the Hell! He's getting a shot at the WWF title! Why would he not be happy?
HBK jumps down from the top rope and is given a mic. He stands in the ring, allowing the fans to chant his name.
Shawn Michaels: I stand before all of you, a man with a very storied past.
Shawn Michaels: That past. That story, is one that will forever be etched into the history books of Entertainment. And I hope, the memories of all of you.
Fans begin to chant HBK again. Shawn lowers his mic and laughs.
Shawn Michaels: Come on now. We don't want to be here all night.
Y'know when I was retired by Taker in the WWE, I thought that was me. I thought it was good that it was over and there was nothing else to accomplish. I had left with the rest of my life set. But when I got the call from Vinnie Mac to join the WWF, I was a different man. I had fell back into my vices. I had fell back into my old problems. Drugs and alcohol ruled me again. I re-joined the WWF thinking I would be the biggest star there. I thought Vince called me because the WWF NEEDED me. But I stand here now to admit that I needed this. More than anything my life I needed this.
Shawn is randomly croaking.
Shawn Michaels: And save me it has. I've had one hell of a time here and I couldn't ask for anything better. Even some of the moments I'd like to forget, like Mr Perfect wheeling me down to the ring in a wheelbarrow cos I was so shitfaced I started having flashbacks to my Playgirl shoot.
I remember losing to Justin Gabriel in my very first match by a roll-up. That nimble son of a bitch was a handful. I have to give thanks to Gabriel for giving me a chance to get my bearings. He let me get into the swing of my old ways. He gave me a reason to get in front of a camera and get my promoing chops back up to speed!
I remember getting shitkicked by CM Punk at Survivor Series, live for everyone to see. That's what gave me the kick in the ass to up my game. I told myself that was NOT happeneing again and I worked hard to once again be able to call myself an Icon. I remember joining with Mr Perfect, fighting my way through the Royal Rumble, fighting for my life at No Way Out for a WWF Title shot just to get schooled in the Dogg House(Crowd: WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF!) and finally holding that title high above my head.
Shawn pauses as once again the crowd begin to clap and cheer.
JR: Shawn Michaels has certainly led a very interesting life here in the WWF.
King: Yeah, and notice his most memorable moments seem to be losses!
Shawn Michaels: And it would be wrong of me not to mention those house shows. Ever since I returned I've been on the House Show circuit and they have provided me with some of the greatest moments of the past 7 months. Anyone who took part in one of those with me, you know exactly who you are. And I thank you for it. If it wasn't for those, I may never have made it this far in the WWF.
Shawn wipes away tears. He is struggling to talk now from emotion.
Shawn Michaels: Now before I came out here, I debated on whether or not to do this. Now in these past 7 months, I have relied on many, many different member of this fine company. And I know I can't name everyone. But three men have to be mentioned. There are so many of you that deserve to be recognised, but I have to go with three in particular.
Mr Perfect you son of a bitch. You've been gone for months now, and I doubt you're even watching this but Shawn Michaels is, if anything, a man of respect. You are a conceited, dirty, no good asshole that would rather lie and get punched in the face than tell the truth. But I have to thank you for being there when I joined and giving me an ally when everyone in the locker room wanted to crucify me. You may of eventually crossed me, but you had my back in the beginning and I needed it.
Shawn Michaels: Chris God Damn Jericho. We are never going to stop crossing each other's paths huh? We pushed each other, and we fought until we were both bloody messes, and I'd happily do it again. It's everything personal Chris, and it always has been. Our matches, were some of the most interesting and most competitive ever. And we worked each other hard to be the most entertaining thing in this whole show! And while we will never be friends, I know that somewhere deep inside of you there is respect for the wars we had. Although you still suck.
JR: Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels had possibly the most intense feud we have seen in recent times.
Shawn Michaels: Mr McIntyre! You're an interesting one ain't ya? For some odd reason, our paths have kept crossing. Whether it be on Smackdown, RAW, Royal Rumble or, ahem, King of The Ring. I've always respected you for your fighting spirit.I respect the passion for competition you have, and it's why we have some of the most back and forth, entertaining matches in the whole WWF. Backstage you've been another guy to rely on, and I thank you for that.
Shawn brings down the mic slightly, pulling himself together. The camera cuts around the arena to crying fans, dreading the inevitable.
Shawn Michaels: Now this is the part, all of us have been dreading. I, Shawn Michaels, with a very heavy heart, must announce my retirement from Wrestling.
Immediately the fans boo before jumping into an arena-shaking chant of [b]PLEASE DON'T GO!
Shawn Michaels: It is a decision I have been pondering for a while now. And what better time to go out than as King? I shall retire in glory.
Shawn turns his attention to the stage.
Shawn Michaels: Now one thing I have to deal with is one ofthe perks of my Kingship. It took next to no thought deciding who to hand my title shot too. It is a man who has deserved it from day one. Dominating the WWF from the get go and being one of the most prominent figures of the past 7 months. A man who has had fate and technology(lol money in the bank) conspire against in his quest to reach the top. A man who, when finally given his chance, had it spoiled by lil ol' Shawn Michaels. This man took me to the edge last night and gave me one of the toughest matches of my career.
So please Drew, come on out. You are the Chosen One.

After a moment of waiting Drew walks out onto the stage without his theme playing. He surveys Michaels from a distance before lowering his head and walking down towards the ring.
JR: There he is, the runner up in last night's King of the Ring tournament, Drew McIntyre. He gave it his all last night and came so close to winning it all but was stopped by that man right there Shawn Michaels.
Lawler: I really don't like this guy, well either of these guys but like I've already said I respect the hell out of them for the match they put on last night.
At this point Drew is entering the ring but he pauses on the apron for a second and looks and the distraught members of the audience. He then enters the ring and without hesitation walks up to Michaels and holds out his hand which Michaels accepts.
What a show of respect Drew has for Shawn. I can't think of anyone who deserves it more.
While still shaking hands the two men can be seen talking but the camera can't make out any of the words except Drew saying "Thank you". After that the handshake changes into a hug as the crowd cheers at the respect shown by both men.
There will never be another man like "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels.
After a moment the two men let each other go and Drew turns around and rolls out of the ring and lifts up the ring apron bringing something out from underneath. He turns to the camera showing Jerry Lawler's crown.
Wait, is that...?
Let it go King... let it go.
Drew once again enters the ring and offers the crown to Michaels. Shawn takes a step back and begins looking around the arena at the fans chanting "HBK" and "Thank you Micheals", a tear can be seen running down his cheek. He wipes his eyes and takes the crown from Drew's hands placing it tilted on his head. Almost as soon as he does so Drew takes Shawn's hand and raises it in the air and stands there for a moment taking in the cheers from the fans before leaving and letting Michaels celebrate a little longer. the camera pans out away from the ring before fading to black completely for the end of the show.
