Subject: The Barrett Barrage Rolls On. Fri Jun 28, 2013 5:24 am
]*We come back from a Commercial Break on Smackdown, to a backstage segment where Wade Barrett is being interviewed.*
Interviewer: Mr. Barrett, you've not had much to say to the WWF Universe lately, why is this?
Wade Barrett: I was busy focusing on the Money In The Bank Ladder Match, as well as the King Of The Ring Tournament. I may have come up a little short in those matches, but the most important thing is that I held onto this European Championship. This Championship means everything to me. I'm the only European to actually hold the title so far.
Interviewer: You came up short in the Money In The Bank Match, but we've been hearing rumors that Austin Aries has been saying some pretty disrespectful things about you.
Wade Barrett: Really? Are you sure it isn't just a ridiculous game of Chinese Whispers? If he has indeed said some disrespectful things, then I warn you, little man, you're picking the wrong man to have a fight with. I'm going to wreck you if you get in my way.
Interviewer: You lost your match on Monday Night RAW last week against The Big Red Monster, Kane. Your feelings?
*Barrett smirks*
Wade Barrett: He might have beaten me on Monday, but i'll be on commentary for his match tonight, lets see if he can get past Mankind first before I have to deal with him again. Now please, do me a favor and get out of my way.
*The Camera follows Barrett for a few seconds as he heads towards the ring.*
Announcer: Please welcome the European Champion, Wade Barrett!
*Barrett makes his way down the ramp and then goes over to the commentary desk as he puts on his headset.*
King: Welcome to the commentary desk Wade!
Wade Barrett: Thank you for the warm reception Jerry, on the other hand, Jim, that's not how you show appreciation towards a man representing this company.
J.R: But I didn't even say anything?
Wade Barrett: That's exactly what the problem is. Your attitude for a commentator is disgraceful. Me and Jerry will call this match, take off your headset and leave us.
J.R: Fine, have it your way.
King: Sorry about him, Wade. I don't know what his problem is.
Wade Barrett: It's alright, you're by far the greatest commentator of all time. Lets call this match!
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one-fall. Making his way to the ring, weighing in at over 300 pounds, The Big Red Monster, KANE!
Wade Barrett: This man gave me one hell of a fight on Monday, that doesn't mean that he beat me fairly. As you can clearly see in the replay, he used a closed fist shot which is illegal. He should have been disqualified, but I'm a man. I'll take him down another time.
King: Well if he wins this match, you get to put a beating on him next week. Come back after the commercial break, when Kane will be taking on Mankind!
*We cut to a commercial break. After the break, we come back and the match has already begun.*
King: So Wade, if you had the choice, which one would you rather face on RAW next week?
Wade Barrett: It's a pretty easy choice King, i'd go with Mankind. Kane feels the need to cheat in his matches, where as me and Mankind would put on one hell of a show.
King: A good answer. What about Austin Aries, have you heard what he's been saying about you?
Wade Barrett: I haven't actually heard the things he's said yet, but if the rumors are true, then i'll find him and knock his teeth down his throat. I'll beat him so hard he won't wake up until 2 weeks later. He thinks he's a big man, running his mouth all the time. But guess what? I'm a bigger man. I could squash him with my size 13 boot. Have you seen the size of him King? He's barely over 5 foot. Neither of us won that Money In The Bank briefcase, but he could have won it...if I didn't grab him by his little legs and prevent him from climbing. Aries, if you're listening to me right now, I'm going beat the crap out of you. If you want to gossip like a teenage girl behind my back, that's your choice, but i've got no problem meeting you in that ring face to face.
King: Enough about Aries, Wade! Lets get back to the match. Mankind has just hit Kane with a huge piledriver, but didn't get the 3 count.
Wade Barrett: Fingers crossed the next time he hits it, it knocks him out for good.
King: So what has been going on lately with your recent losses Wade? Not focusing right?
Wade Barrett: I'll be a man, and admit that i've made some mistakes in the ring lately. I've been a little sloppy, as well as being too cocky and confident at some points. But that was Wade Barrett of the past, from now on, i'm taking my competition more seriously. I'm the European Champion, I made Britian Great once again. I shouldn't be letting this losses affect me or my ring work. Back to the match at hand anyway Jerry.
King: Kane's coming back though! A series of clotheslines! A Big Boot! Kane's going up top and he's calling for it. A clothesline from the top rope! He's going to get the pin! 1...2...Oh but Mankind got the shoulder up! Kane's raised his right hand in the air, and he's calling for the Chokeslam!
*Barrett removes his headset.*
J.R: Finally, I'm allowed to talk. That arrogant ass is trying to get involved in the match!
*Barrett gets on the apron to distract Kane, Kane grabs Mankind by the throat and shoves him into Barrett, knocking him off the apron. Kane then Chokeslams Mankind and gets the pin.*
Announcer: Here is your winner of the match, KANE!
King: How did Kane pull that off?!
J.R: I'm not sure King, but now Barrett's European Championship reign is in jeopardy! Kane is one of two challengers in next weeks European Championship Match!
*Kane's pyro goes off. Barrett recuperates and raises his title into the air while staring at Kane.*
*The show goes to a commercial break.*

This was a fantastic promo, you portrayed Barrett's heel attitude quite well, did a great job with the commentary and then boosted this grade with the story development for your match with Kane. I think the only thing keeping me from giving you a 5 is the fact that you don't have a rivalry yet. Get one!
