*We come back from a Commercial Break to the commentary desk on WCW Thunder.*
Mike Tenay: Up next, it's going to be a 4-Man Gauntlet Challenge. Four participants, 2 men start in the ring. Every time a competitor is eliminated, another man replaces him until there is only one man left standing.
Tony Schiavone: Those Superstars are going to be Diamond Dallas Page, TV Champion Rey Mysterio, Paul Wight and the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Christopher Daniels.
Mike Tenay: Speaking of Daniels, lets take a look what transpired on Monday Night Nitro.
*A Video Package Rolls of the match between Daniels and Kazarian.*
Daniels told Kaz several times to lay on the ground for him, but he seems reluctant. Daniels begins to shout "I'M YOUR BEST FRIEND, LIE DOWN!", but Kaz says no. Daniels gets in his face, gives Kaz a low-blow, then delivers the Angels Wings and pins him. As the referee raises his hand, Daniels looks down at Kaz and then says "I'm sorry, but I had to."
*Video Package Ends. Bad Influence's music hits.*
*Both men walk out, Daniels raises his World Heavyweight Championship and Tag Team Championship in the air while standing on the stage, Kazarian simply pushes past Daniels and heads straight for the ring. Daniels gets pissed at this, as he begins to shout at Kaz as they begin to make their way into the ring. Daniels grabs a microphone.*
Christopher Daniels: What in the hell was that about? You have a serious attitude problem lately, Frankie. You're my best friend and all, but what you did on Nitro was completely out of line, I'm sorry, but I had to put you in your place.
*Kaz looks like he's about to say something, but Daniels cuts him off.*
Christopher Daniels: Don't you dare talk. I'm the World Heavyweight Champion, NOBODY takes the spotlight from me. You know what Frankie, I don't want you out here for my match tonight. My World Title hasn't had it's daily polish yet, so go and make yourself useful.
*Daniels tosses the World Title and points to the stage. Kaz puts his head down in shame and begins to walk to the back. Daniels takes off his smart clothes, wearing his ring gear underneath and waits for his first opponent.*
Mike Tenay: Oh yeah! We're going to kick this Open Challenge off with our World Champion, Daniels and DDP!
Tony Schiavone: These men are going to blow the roof off tonight, it's going to be a classic.
*Later on in the match...*
Daniels takes DDP to the top rope, but DDP begins to fight off Daniels. Daniels rakes the eys of DDP and sets up for a Hurricanrana, but DDP catches him and nails him with the Diamond Clash from the top rope. He goes for the cover but only gets a two-count.
Mike Tenay: I thought he was done right there Tony, I can't believe DDP nailed the Diamond Clash from the top rope! How did Daniels kick out?!
Tony Schiavone: That's why he's our World Champion, Mike.
DDP raises his arms into the air and yells "BANG!" at the top of his lungs. He sets up Daniels for the Diamond Cutter. Daniels staggers to his feet sees DDP running at him but Daniels rolls under the bottom rope. He thinks he's escaped DDP, but he's wrong, DDP goes straight to the outside and throws Daniels back in. As DDP gets in, Daniels locks his arms so he can't move. He lifts him to his feet, raises him up in the air and hits him with the Angels Wings. He goes for a cover but DDP kicks out. He then pulls a shocked face.
Tony Schiavone: The look on Daniels' face right now says it all! DDP managed to kick out of the Angels' Wings!
Mike Tenay: These guys are giving it all they've got here tonight, something has got to give soon.
Daniels raises DDP up once again and tries to hook his arms, but DDP breaks free and goes for the Diamond Cutter, but Daniels shoves him away. Daniels runs at DDP but gets him in a schoolboy roll-up, holding onto the ropes for leverage as the referee counts to 3. DDP is going absolutely crazy at the referee, but the referee throws him out and we await the next superstar. The crowd begin to boo loudly.
Mike Tenay: What a cheap tactic by Daniels there, this is disgusting!
Tony Schiavone: What option did he have, Mike? He knew DDP wouldn't stay down, so he looked at his options and did it tactically. Props to the World Champion there.
*Paul Wight's music hits.*
Mike Tenay: This is the man that destroyed Eric Bischoff at The Great American Bash. He's the reason the General Manager isn't here! And he's going to put a hurting on our World Champion!
Tony Schiavone: We saw what he did to Eric Bischoff. Daniels must do everything he can to survive.
*Later on in the match...*
Paul Wight has just been dominating this match since he first came into the ring. He's just hit a side-walk slam which only gets a two count. He lifts Daniels up, but Daniels gets out of Paul's clutches. He makes it to the top rope and manages to nail Wight with a dropkick. Wight is still on his feet, but Daniels tries another dropkick from the top rope, which still leaves Wight standing. Daniels then runs off the ropes but runs into a huge big boot by Wight. Paul Wight then lifts Daniels up and gives him a Cobra-Clutch Backbreaker, and launches him halfway across the ring. He goes for the pin, but Daniels kicks out at 2 and a half.
Tony Schiavone: Oh my God, he just threw the World Champion halfway across the ring, now that has got to hurt.
Mike Tenay: This match has got to end soon for Daniels, otherwise, I get the feeling we might need some EMT's down here at ringside.
Paul Wight raises his right hand into the air, signalling for the chokeslam. Daniels remains on the floor as the big man waits, but Wight becomes impatient and grabs Daniels by the throat. He lifts him up into the air and holds him there for a few seconds, but Daniels begins to knee Wight in the face, leaving him staggered. Daniels shoves Wight into the referee, causing the referee to be knocked down for a few seconds, Daniels takes advantage of this and delivers a low-blow to Paul Wight. He then covers him quickly and the referee counts to 3.
Mike Tenay: Daniels has managed to cheat his way to another victory! How has this crooked referee not seen any of his blatant rule-breaking?!
Tony Schiavone: I think he's been smart so far, Mike. He knew that he wouldn't be able to take down Paul Wight, so he kicked him right where it hurts. What a great strategy from our World Heavyweight Champion.
Mike Tenay: Here he comes, our TV Champion Rey Mysterio, looking to prove he's the better champion in the company. Judging by the antics we've seen tonight, he's the cleanest in-ring Champion we have right now.
Tony Schiavone: Do you ever stop complaining?
*Later on in the match...*
Daniels has just nailed the Best Moonsault Ever, but only gets a 2-count. Daniels gets frustrated, and lifts up Rey. He launches Rey off the ropes, but receives a Bulldog for his troubles. Mysterio pins, but only gets a 2 count. Rey then looks up into the sky and points, dedicating this next move to Eddie Guerrero, delivering Three Amigos to Daniels. Daniels writhes in pain on the ground, as Rey waits for him to get up, but Daniels tries to pull himself up on the ropes. Rey attempts a 619, but Daniels ducks it and nails the Last Rites, but he only gets a 2 count.
Mike Tenay: How Daniels is still alive after going through DDP and Paul Wight, I have no idea. Rey Mysterio HAS to finish him off, NOW!
Tony Schiavone: Daniels can pull this one out of the bag! All he has to do is get rid of that little Mexican!
Daniels signals for the Angels Wings, he hooks Rey's arms, but Rey breaks free and turns it into a hurricanrana. Daniels lands on the ropes, but Kazarian comes running down the ramp and hands Daniels his World Title. He then shields Daniels. Mysterio shrugs and delivers a 619 to Kaz, sending him flying off the apron, the referee gets distracted by Kaz on the outside. Mysterio springboards from the top rope, but Daniels leaves the World Title in the middle of the ring, and Mysterio comes crashing down face first onto the Gold. Daniels throws the evidence to ringside and pins the TV Champion. The bell then rings.
Announcer: Ladies and Gentleman, the winner of tonight's open challenge, the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Christopher Daniels!
Tony Schiavone: He did it Mike! He did it! Daniels ran the gauntlet tonight and defeated 3 of WCW's toughest superstars. That's why he's the World Heavyweight Champion!
Mike Tenay: All 3 of those men were screwed out of their matches. Daniels rolled up DDP and held onto the ropes for leverage, he low-blowed Paul Wight and pinned him, then Daniels used Kaz as a distraction, causing Mysterio to land on the Gold. How can you be proud of that?!
*Daniels celebrates with his World Title, he then grabs a microphone and begins to speak.*
Christopher Daniels: Did you people see that? If you have questioned my World Championship reign so far, this is definitive proof, that I DESERVE to be your World Heavyweight Champion. There's only one other man in this company that ran through 3 guys like that, and that was Road Dogg, but he's long gone now. That makes me THE BEST this company has to offer. I didn't cheat, I didn't use dirty tactics, I ALWAYS play by the rules. The referee had no problem with anything, so neither should you. Never forget, I AM YOUR WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, OF THE WORRRRRRLD!
*The crowd erupts into boos.*
Christopher Daniels: I don't care what you selfish people think. Don't have anything nice to contribute? Don't say anything at all. I'm also another Champion...I'm a Tag Team Champion, Frankie, get on in here!
*Kaz gradually gets into the ring, still feeling the effects of a 619 he received earlier.*
Christopher Daniels: I thought I told you to stay in the back and polish my Championship? But you know what, you did an even better job than that. You let me polish my own Championship, with Rey Mysterio's face. Frankie, you should do one better. Now, because you're the Lord Of The Ring, you get to be in the World Championship Match at Bash At The Beach. Now, Frankie, YOUR job in that match is to do anything within your power to make sure I keep this World Championship. I know you hate that piece of shit Dolph Ziggler, who does he think he is? Showing off his greasy blonde hair like he does, he's making fun of the both of us for being bald. So I tell you what, do what you have to do, It's a TLC Match, slam him into Ladders, strike his body with Steel Chairs, drive him through Tables. Just make sure you have your best friend's back, alright?
*Kaz seems reluctant to agree, but he shakes Daniels' hand. The crowd begin to chant "you sold out!" for some reason, despite Kaz forever hating the fans.*
Christopher Daniels: I hate to break it to you people, but me and Kaz had this set up all night long. It was definitely set up, I always want Kaz here at ringside for my matches. He's my moral support. He's my fellow Tag Team Champion. Most importantly, he's my best friend. Bring it in brother!
*Daniels drops the mic and both men man hug.*
Mike Tenay: This is by far the most homosexual thing i've ever seen on WCW!
Tony Schiavone: Mike, you can't say things like that. This is brotherly love.
Mike Tenay: It's some kind of Val Venis action, it's weird. Thanks for tuning into WCW Thunder, we'll see you on Monday!
*The show goes off the air with Daniels and Kaz raising their Tag Team Gold.*

Another excellent promo. Your match description was top notch, and I really like where you're going with this Daniels/Kaz love/hate relationship thing. I look forward to seeing the promos between you two leading up to the PPV. Overall, good use of the commentary team, perfect length and a good addition to your current storyline.
