Faarooq Post SmackDown! Empty
PostSubject: Faarooq Post SmackDown!   Faarooq Post SmackDown! EmptyFri Jul 05, 2013 2:22 pm

The camera fades in from black to show Jim Ross and King sitting at the announcers table. The steel cage is being pulled up as that match has just finished up.

Faarooq Post SmackDown! Ross-y-lawler

JR: "Alright folks up next we have our second Intercontinental qualifying match of the night. The first one which took place before our steel cage match, saw newcomer Faarooq pick up a win over AJ Styles - and King, what a match that was!"

King: "Right you are Jim Ross! I do have word though that Faarooq will be making an appearance here shortly to talk to the fans about his recent victories! How awesome is that?!"

JR: "Well I believe you're right King, because if you turn your attention to the stage, Faarooq is coming down now! Here we go!"

The camera pans over to the entrance ramp as Faarooq's theme hits the PA system.

Faarooq emerges from the behind the curtain and starts making his way down to the stage while giving high fives down the guard rails all the way to the ring.

King: "What do you think he has to say today JR? We haven't heard much - if anything from him since he joined us here in the WWF!"

JR: "I have an idea King, but I don't wanna spoil it for the viewers at home! Looks like we will just have to wait and see!"

At this time Faarooq is standing in the middle of the ring, mic in hand ready to address the fans.

He looks around surveying the crowd, with a strange look on his face. He brings the mic to his mouth then begins to speak.

Faarooq: "This week has been very good to me to say the least. You know, if you didn't watch back on RAW Monday night, let me tell you this. I, Farooq - former leader of the Nation of Domination - pinned none other than Rikshi - our WWF Champion. Now, I don't mean any harm to the guy and by all means don't want to start barking up the wrong tree - but when this guy pins the world champion - I think that's worth some recognition don't you guys think?"

Faarooq extends the mic into the air to get a reaction from the crowd. They all applaud and cheer in response.

Faarooq: "Not only that though ladies and gentlemen - but tonight, unless you were all sleeping on me - you watched me defeat the newcomer AJ Styles to qualify for the Intercontinental Championship. That match not only showed you why I deserve that title, but the force that I am capable of unleashing on anyone that will get in the way of me and the gold that I so deserve."

King: "Yes! Gold! That's what's missing from this man's resume!"

JR: "I don't know if he's ready for wearing gold yet King, we won't truly know until Vengeance!"

Faarooq, still in the ring decides to pace around for a little composing thoughts on what he is going to say next. He stops in the middle of the ring and delivers another speech.

Faarooq: "So in one week I defeated the WWF Champion, former Tag Team Champion, and qualified for the Intercontinental Championship. I'll tell you all and management one thing - if you don't see gold around my waist after Vengeance, be sure to see this man in the running for something out there. You see, I can't go back to 1998 when I got kicked out of the Nation. I tie up my boots from now on to focus on my goal, and that's to redeem myself from that. Sure I have the APA - but at the time we were a huge joke. To be honest, I don't know why I continue to wear this crap."

Faarooq looks puzzled at this point, but shrugs it off and continues to speak.

Faarooq: "I know that I will have some doubters out there who are going to rely on my work before this week to try and get me down. I'm an honest man and I'll be the first to say that I wasn't facing the best of opponents and losing before appearing this week. You see, this business is a weird sport inside of what you guys see every week - but none of that matters. Management saw something in my work and gave me chances. I took those chances and now look where I am. This is not the last you will see of me, and that's a guaran-DAMN-tee."

King: "Well whether you agree if Faarooq should be wearing gold around his waist or not - it was good to get a check in from him!"

JR: "Indeed it was King. It's a smart move on Faarooqs part to let the WWF fans know what he's been up to lately. Hopefully he will start getting more fans and get on a roll, back to his prime!"

King: "Well we can only find out by tuning in next week! We will be right back after this commercial break!"

The camera fades to black as a commercial plays WWF off.

Well it was certainly better than your last promo that's for sure! This has everything that a good promo needs except a reply or two. Great use of pics/videos, commentary, actions and best of all you had Faarooq say more than one word. Next time I would like to say a reply or two maybe from the other winner of the IC title qualifier. We could still have some good promos to hype up Vengeance. + 4Sp
