A Bad Influence? Empty
PostSubject: A Bad Influence?   A Bad Influence? EmptyWed Aug 07, 2013 8:58 pm

Monday night Raw comes back from commercial break, Drew is backstage holding the WWF championship along with Kelly Kelly. The two are talking.

Drew McIntyre

I still can't believe this title is mine. I mean I've worked my whole life to get this and now that I have it... I don't know, it just doesn't seem real.

Kelly Kelly

Believe it. You fought hard to get where you are and you earned the right to wear that title.

Drew McIntyre

Thank you. Part of me just wishes I'd pinned the champion to get it, I mean Rikishi wasn't pinned to lose this and then he missed out on becoming the WCW Champion last week. Poor guy, he might not even make it to Summerslam now.

Kelly Kelly

Rikishi will be fine. He had his time in the spotlight and now it's your time, enjoy it. Plus doesn't it feel good to have gotten the pin on Cody? I mean I know things still aren't perfect between you two guys and you're trying to work it out but it must've felt good to just get back at him again.

Drew McIntyre

A little bit. I'm still a little weary about him though.

Kelly Kelly

How so?

Drew McIntyre

I don't know... After all we went through I'm just having a hard time trusting him again.

Kelly Kelly

Well that's only to be expected.

Drew McIntyre

Yeah but there's more than that. Cody seems to be an entirely new person. It's almost as if everything that we did to each other never happened.

Kelly Kelly

Maybe he's just moved on.

Drew McIntyre

Maybe. Even if that is the case his timing couldn't be worse. I mean I have this now and I'll be defending it at Summerslam against Daniels, a guy that Cody has bumped heads with more times than I can count. On top of that Cody himself has a United States title match at Summerslam with three other guys, one of which is Daniels' tag partner. Everything just seems too perfect. Now with all of this going on Cody wants to reunite...

Kelly Kelly

Umm... Drew?

Drew McIntyre

I mean none of us have time for this right now.

Kelly Kelly

Drew, honey?

Drew McIntyre

Yeah?

Kelly Kelly

Look...

Kelly points to the TV on the wall behind Drew, Drew turns and looks at it. The TV shows Cody walking down to the ring and taking a microphone before he enters. He stands in the center of the ring with his goofy smile on his face. Drew turns back to Kelly.

Drew McIntyre

Ooh goody I wonder what this is going to be about.

Kelly laughs a little.

Kelly Kelly

Yeah I wonder.

Drew McIntyre

I'd better go see what he wants. I'll see you later tonight?

Kelly Kelly

Sure.

Drew McIntyre

Alright, bye babe.

Drew leans in and kisses Kelly before leaving to meet Cody in the ring.

((Open to Cody, leave open to me afterwards to continue))

Cody is walking around the ring, a mic in his hand and the biggest smile on his face. He stops and stares at the crowd, they cheer, letting him know they love him. He raises his mic.

You know, all last week people were asking me, why? Why did you offer a reunion between yourself and Drew McIntyre? Why are you siding with the man who cost you the WWF Championship? And the answer is pretty simple. Why not? Drew is a great competitor, a great athlete and a great champion. And I hope that'd he say the same thing about me. I didn't offer Drew the chance to reform the Dashing One's without a reason. I did it because we're good together. When Drew and I step into that ring, we put on a show. We STEAL the show. Whether we're fighting each other or teaming up. That match that we had last week. . . It felt right. Taking down The Legion's Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler was no easy task, but we got it done, and we put on a show doing it. So, why did I ask Drew to be my partner once again? Because it's how it should be. Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre side by side, busting heads and taking names.

Cody lowers his mic and nods, walking around a bit before coming to a stop.

Now I know Drew was skeptic at first, and I don't blame him. But now I think he's really into the idea. Keep this between us, but I saw him singing my theme song backstage the other day. And hey, whatever, my theme song is pretty damn catchy. But the point is that he's realizing that I'm right. The two of us are better together than we are apart. When we first started The Dashing One's, it wasn't so good. We were pushed way down the ladder, I mean, we only had one tag team match, and. . . I'll admit, Drew lost it for us. No, I kid, I kid, I lost it. And I know he didn't take it to well, maybe that's what started our whole 'feud' thing. But let me go on record right now and say that I didn't mean any of the things I said to Drew throughout that entire rivalry. I was in a bad place. Doing things I wouldn't normally do. I was in the wrong mindset, and Drew, if you can hear me, I'm sorry.

Cody lowers his mic as the arena fills with cheer, the crowd happy that Rhodes has apologized. He smirks, then lifts his mic again.

Thank you, thank you. It's been a long time coming. But Drew is a good friend, and I wouldn't dream of ever doing anything that stupid again. But enough of that sappy stuff, The Dashing One's are back together baby, let's rejoice! And this time, we're going to do it right, we are going to win those tag team titles, mark my words. Cross my heart, and. . . Some other saying about promises. The Dashing One's will not be overlooked this time, no, this time, we are going to rise to the top. . . Together! And there we will stay.

J.R.: Wow, that was. . . Interesting to say the least. Cody has just promised us many things, but the question is, does he mean them?

King: Psssh, who cares, I just hope this whole 'Dashing One's' business disappears as fast as it appeared.

J.R.: Oh, knock it off King. Aren't you at least a little excited to see what will come of these two?

King: Meh.

Rhodes nods once again, letting the fans know he means what he says. The crowd begins to chant, "Dashing One's, Dashing One's, Dashing One's!" Rhodes laughs, joining in on the chant. As Cody and the fans continue, Drew McIntyre's theme blasts over the speakers and Cody's attentions turn to the stage area.

(TBC by Drew.)
