As Monday Night Raw rolls on the cameras take us backstage to Cody's locker room where he and Christian are having a heated conversation.
Rhodes
No, I'm telling you that it's not true, it couldn't be true!
Christian
But it is, you know it, I know it and everyone else on this planet knows it.
Rhodes
You really expect me to believe that The Hulk could beat The Iron Man in a fight!?
Christian
I don't care what you believe, it's the truth!
Rhodes
Oh don't give me that-
Cody is cut off mid sentence by the arrival of a third person, the new owner of the WCF, Stephanie McMahon!
Stephanie
I hope I'm not interrupting anything too important but I've got to talk to you two for a moment. It's about the WCF Undisputed World Title.
Both Cody's and Christian's ears perk at the mention of the championship.
Rhodes
Of course Stephanie, what's on your mind?
Stephanie walks through the door of Cody's locker room and positions herself in front of Cody, Christian behind him.
Stephanie
As you know, Unforgiven is just three weeks away and well, we still have no contender to the Undisputed Title. Now I've set up a triple threat match between Bray Wyatt, The Miz and Dolph Ziggler tonight to crown one, but I've decided to mix things up a bit. It's going to be a triple threat match at Unforgiven! And that means we need another qualifying match. . . That's where YOU come in!
Cody puts both hands over his heart and exhales, a huge smile stretching across his face.
Rhodes
Wow, Stephanie, that's. . . That's so nice of you, I promise I won't let you down-
Cody is broken up by the sound of Stephanie's laughter.
Stephanie
Oh, no, no, no, not you Cody. . . Christian!
The crowd can be heard gasping as Stephanie contains herself, Cody's jaw dropped. Christian's eyes pop and his mouth hangs open as Stephanie continues.
Stephanie
Tonight you'll go one on one with Kazarian, so. . . Don't let me down, okay Christian?
Christian walks out in front of Cody and shakes McMahon's hand, nodding his head up and down. Stephanie walks out, patting Rhodes on the shoulder before leaving. The segment fades on Christian putting his arm around Cody and smiling, Rhodes still in shock.
