After RAW is finished with the introductory pyro and opening comments from the ringside announcers, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross, the arena lays silent for a few moments before an old but familiar theme song blasts throughout the arena, causing the crowd to light up, half cheering while the others boo.
Jerry Lawler: By god, JR! Its The Miz! After a three month absence he has returned to RAW!
Jim Ross: That was my line, King. Anyways, last time we saw Miz he had just lost the now defunct European Championship to the now gone Val Venis before disappearing into the shadows. He was also too cocky for his own good.
Miz struts out onto the stage in his leather jacket, a smile across his face. He loosens up his arms a bit before bending over and coming back up, performing his signature pose. He makes his way down the ramp, high-fiving those who have their hands out before making his way over to the steel steps. He looks deeply into the crowd before turning, running, and sliding onto the apron. As he drapes himself off the apron, he looks around a bit before climbing in the ring. He hops on the turnbuckle and does his pose before calling for a mic, which is promptly tossed to him. He holds the mic to his mouth but before he can speak, the crowd splits into dueling chants of 'Miz is Awesome!' and 'Miz is Awful!'. He smiles at this as he waits for the crowd to calm down.
The Miz: Its been three extremely long months since I have stepped foot in this very ring. Three months ago, my ego was at the top of the world as I pranced around backstage with the European Championship draped over my shoulder. As everyone knows, I got into a few rough ends with Vince McMahon and ultimately decided to hand my precious championship that I actually made worth something, over to Val Venis. Who is now gone along with my title.
Miz lowers the mic as the crowd is still split with their cheers and boos. A few fans scream something about Miz and the European Championship. He paces around the ring a bit, smiling before raising the mic back up.
The Miz: Three months ago I was also a part of a stable known as 'The Authority'. Now, on paper this group was perfect. The Miz, Alex Riley, Brad Maddox, and Big E Langston. Four young, bright, and talented superstars all joining forces to show the world that we could make it and weren't going to fall to those that had the spot light once and didn't need it anymore. But, Brad Maddox decided he was going to run things and turned a great idea into the next 'RISE'.
The crowd boos at the mention of The Authority and the former members of it.
The Miz: Oh come on. We've moved past that! Anyways, now that I'm back, I'd like to address several topics. First, I'd like to start with . . .
Before Miz can continue, he is interrupted by his opponent later tonight

As Pierce's theme dies down and the fans boos fade away, he walks down the ramp, his eyes locked on Miz. With his mic raised he continues on.

Please, for the love of everything that's holy, shut your mouth!
A faint cheer can be heard from the anti-Miz fans as Pierce climbs the steel steps to the ring.

Don't get me wrong, pal, it's great that your back and all, but it's been what, 5 minuets you've been back? And I'm already tired. Oh, my bad, the name's Briley Pierce, the newest, youngest and. . . Hottest, addition to the WCF roster. I'm sure that you've already heard a ton about me, but if you haven't, which I highly doubt, let me give you a little background on myself. I'm the much more talented, much better looking and the much younger, younger brother of Dolph Ziggler! I once tagged with your former boyfriend, Brad Maddox, in FCW! Can you believe it!? We were actually the tag team champions at one point. . . Ah, those were the days. Not really though, that kid was annoying as all hell, so let's thank all of the heavenly forces that he's no longer with this company. You know, some of the other guys and I would call him MadBox behind his back! Haha, man, oh I'm drifting, where was I? Ah yes, a history lesson. You may have seen me on NXT, maybe not, I don't know. I wasn't there that long, I decided to stop wasting my time with such a mediocre show and move on into the big time! And that got me here! Briley Pierce, a WCF superstar! So far I've done fairly well for myself. I completely stepped over my own brother in my debut match, showing the world who exactly is the better half. Now here I stand, face to face with the legendary Miz. . . Meh, I'm not impressed. You've got your silly little suit with your nice red tie, but, well. . . Where's the real you!? Where's the Miz that I sat up watching in the early days of the WWF? The Miz that took down everyone in his way and became one of the longest reigning champions in the history of this company! Where is that Miz? Because I don't see him here. I just see a dried up, warn out, has been. A shell of a man. A. . . A coward.
Pierce lowers his mic down as he peers at The Miz, giving off a small shrug. Miz simply laughs, tapping his foot a few times before raising his mic up.

REALLY-
Pierce
I don't have time for your stupidity and your REALLY, REALLY'S! I'm out here tonight to put to rest this. . . This fraud that stands in front of me. So yes, Miz, really,really,Really,REALLY!
With the final really, Pierce spits right in Miz's face, causing the former champions to back up. Miz wipes his face, whips a mean look at Pierce, then charges forward. Fortunately the ref steps in the middle of the two and pushes The Miz back, keeping him at bay while Pierce taunts from behind. The ref, having calmed Miz down, moves over to Pierce now and tells him to knock it off. Briley replies with a surprised look, saying, "I didn't do a thing!"
Miz regains his posture, straightening his suit out and fixing his tie. Pierce backs up, all the while staring down Miz as he exits the ring through the second rope. As The Awesome One watches him leave with a viscous look, the fans let both men hear it, cheering and booing in a massive frenzy. Pierce gives off one last smirk before exiting to the back, making The Miz wait for their match later on in the night.
