There have been a few pay-per-views that I felt were worth buying but I can't remember what they were. I don't know if WWE isn't sure what to do with a bunch of half-built stars they made or if they simply don't care because, hey, there's no competition.
The World Titles are nothing more than hot potatoes that simply get passed back and forth constantly and are used to build up someone short-term instead of long term. Hell, at one point during his 400some day reign I forgot Punk was champion because the titles aren't credible for anyone to care about. I feel Daniel Bryan won at Summerslam because Cena was injured, otherwise this would all be happening with Cena in Bryan's place. WWE is doing a correct thing sending Cena after the World Heavyweight Championship but will kill it because at TLC Cena will go back to hunting the WWE Championship.
Speaking of the World Heavyweight Championship, its dead. It was once a highly credible title but now has less credibility than Zack Ryder's Internet Championship. Del Rio has the title because WWE wants to add him to a very, very short list of people who have compete for the WHC all year long but in doing so they haven't done anything to build it up. Again, I've had points where I forgot Del Rio was champion. The issue after the year is who will be built enough for the title. In my opinion, everyone who isn't CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Alberto Del Rio, Randy Orton, or Big Show isn't built enough to be the WHC and simply look like nothing but a bunch of midcarders.
As for the Intercontinental Championship and United States Championship, they are less credible than a 4th rate indy promotion. Curtis Axel doesn't have half the talent everyone thought he would and his mic skills are almost as bad as The Great Khali. Him holding the title isn't doing it justice and the best thing for him to do now is feud and drop it to Ryback or whoever faces him at Hell in a Cell. As for the United States Championship, I don't think WWE even gives two shits about it because they don't build up for it and they throw the matches together at the last moment. Again, another title in which I forgot Dean Ambrose was holding it.
The Diva's Championship I do give credit to WWE as they are slowly building it up but now we are at the point where they have built AJ and yet she has gotten incredibly stale as its been the same character for a long while. They did correctly build up Nattie to put over AJ but most of the other Divas are just short term fodder. I know WWE is planning on have AJ Lee vs Paige but still, I know they can do better here.
The Tag Team Championships I can say have been the most interesting titles in a long while. The fact that they were in the main event shows something, even though it was on RAW it was still the main event above Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton, which should tell you something. The Shield didn't really do anything justice for the tag titles but that was because most of their opponents weren't built up for it and was either a result of a team winning some last minute match and they never seemed like the titles mattered, other than walking down to the ring with them. Cody and Goldust got a huge pop at Battleground and an even bigger pop when they won titles. Those two have a solid chemistry and were built up well enough that if they hold the titles even until the Royal Rumble, they will slightly have more credibility than the Intercontinental Championship, the United States Championship, and the World Heavyweight Championship.
Stepping out of the championships, there are barely any feuds that are happening that have any interest. Sure, there is Big Show vs The Corporation but its practically the same gimmick Big Show had last year, just without Big Johnny and as a face. Then there is CM Punk vs Paul Heyman which has gotten incredibly stale. Hopefully he will get his hands on Heyman in Hell in a Cell that way he can go onto something else. Other than that, I cannot think of any other storylines that are happening.
So basically, you have 1 title that is getting there, 1 title that they don't know what to do with, and 4 titles that have nothing good going for them and have little to no credibility. Line that up on a pay-per-view, and it isn't worth buying because there isn't anything for WWE to highlight. Besides, the only pay-per-views anyone should buy is the Big Four (Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Survivor Series), at least until WWE starts giving us a reason to buy the rest of the pay-per-views.
