Subject: A Hard Case Sat Nov 02, 2013 3:20 am
The fans all rise to their feet as Mr. Money in the Bank's theme song hits the PA system. As the theme picks up, Drew emerges from the back, his briefcase held firmly in one hand, his other down at his side. With a smile on his face, he looks around at the thousands of screaming fans, shooting his briefcase up into the air. He then makes his way down the ramp, greeting some fans on his way to the ring. After getting settled, he requests a microphone from ringside, something's clearly on his mind. Once he's got a mic in his hand, he waits for the cheers to die down before raising it up to his mouth.
Drew
. . . I-
Instantly Drew is cut off by a theme song that everyone has come to hate.
Boos hit the stage as the United States Champion makes his presence known. He does the same as Drew, looking around at the thousands upon thousands of chanting fans before making his way to the ring, his swagger radiating off him like no other. With the U.S. title fit around his waist, he climbs onto the apron, taking a look back at the stage before entering the ring. Once he's inside, he completely ignores Drew, walking right past him to one of the four corners. Cody scales to the top, unbuttoning his championship and raising it into the air, a wide smirk on his face. Once he's done, he drops down and demands a mic from the ring announcer, barking at him to hurry up. The mic is placed in his hand and he turns to his former friend, smiling a bit before starting up.
Cody
Well if it isn't my good friend, Drew McIntyre! I do apologize for interrupting you but, well, quite frankly what I have to say is MUCH more important. You see, you have something that belongs to me, Drew. That, that case right there in your hand. Two weeks ago it was I who pulled down that briefcase to win the Money in the Bank match, but you, being the absolute villain that you are, stole it from me. I wasn't surprised, maybe a little shocked, but not surprised. You're always stealing things from me, whether it be the spotlight, whether it be a championship match, or whether it be that case. But no more, you see, I had a long talk with the Raw general manager, Stephanie McMahon, after our match last week. She complimented my mustache, I told her how great she's doing as GM and then we talked about the briefcase. I simply told her that I was the rightful holder of said case. Then she, being the wonderful women that she is, made tonight's main event! Drew McIntyre vs. Cody Rhodes for the Money in the Bank briefcase! And you see, I'm not worried, no, because I know that I can beat you, EASILY! As seen last week. You remember last week, right? When I pinned you in the middle of this ring? I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't, Brock and I did knock you around pretty hard. I'm actually shocked that you're standing here tonight. What a guy! What a stupid, stupid guy. How dumb are you, Drew? How STUPID, are you? Do you know what I can do to you? Do you know just who I am? I am the United. States. Champion! I am STILL, the United States Champion after beating that old dog, Triple H to a bloody pulp last night. Did you see what I did to Stone Cold at the start of the show? Do you want that to happen to you? Because I can easily arrange it!
Cody lowers his mic and he and Drew lock eyes, both moving to the center of the ring. Their heads collide as the fans scream chant for them to start fighting. But after a few moments, Cody pulls himself back, taking a deep breath. Drew remains in the middle of the ring, staring down Cody with vicious intent. Rhodes begins to laugh to himself, his head in his hands. He then looks up and continues to laugh, letting out a big sigh of relief.
Cody
Drew, in this situation, you only have three options. One, you can can try to take me on, which isn't very wise. Two, you can run away, but knowing you and what a hero you like to be, that won't happen. Three, and this is the one that I would prefer you do. . . Just give me the case. Give me what is rightfully mine. I'm going to win it anyways, so why not spare yourself the agony and the bloodshed and just hand me that briefcase? This can all go away, you can sink back down to the bottom where you belong, while I rise to the top like I deserve to. So what do you say, Drew? Why not just give me the case? Come on. . .
Rhodes lowers his mic and reaches out towards McIntyre's briefcase, pleading the entire time. But Drew quickly steps back, a smile of his own now shown on his face. He looks at Cody and laughs before raising his mic up to speak.
(Open to Drew. I'm aware it's not good, with '14 out, I'm kinda not into it this week!)
