I do find it funny that in another topic someone makes a gay joke and its okay (or at least no one said anything about it) but if it's directed at a specific person well then that makes it wrong.

It should either be tolerated both ways or not tolerated at all.

if someone made a racist joke about a person it wouldn't be okay if someone made a racist joke that wasn't aimed at a specific person it also wouldn't be ok .... am i right?

We make "racist" jokes to Suntan all the time. For instance, if we're playing a match with him and it lags, him and his ghetto connection are to blame. And yes, Suntan, it IS because you're black. If it's clearly a joke, and everyone is in on it , then everyone can have a laugh about it, and it's all well and good. When no one is in on the joke, or it's just in really poor taste, then it stops being harmless fun and takes on the form of hate speech. Suddenly, you just look like a bigot and an idiot.

Also, for the record, I hate calling bigots ignorant. It's not ignorance they're displaying, it's just idiocy.
