The Big Blow

As Raw comes back from commercial break we are shown a video package of the events that have taken place over the past couple of weeks.

First we see the camera crew backstage gathering their equipment and sprinting towards a sound in the distance. As they turn the corner, Daniel Bryan is shown laying in a heap of broken tables and chairs. The colour begins to fade from the screen and time begins to slow down, slowly zooming in on the image of the battered Daniel Bryan. The distorted voices of the camera crew can be heard over the ambience playing with the video. "Daniel, what happened?! Are you alright?! Who did this to you?!" Suddenly a sharp, piercing sound hits and the camera quickly zooms in to show a large figure in the distance lifting up a cameraman by the throat and slamming him to the floor, soon after raising his arm and unleashing a bellowing roar. The ambient music slowly grinds to a halt and the video fades to black.

After a few seconds of nothingness some music begins to play again although this time faster paced. The camera shows both Daniel Bryan and Paul Wight make their way to the ring for their match whist Jerry Lawler speaks over this, "Ladies and gentlemen this is a one on one match, Daniel Bryan comes up against the 500lb behemoth, Paul Wight. One has to wonder just what condition Bryan is in following the events of last week." The music picks up, gets louder and faster, and we are shown the important highlights of the match. When the match is nearing its end the music drops and we are once again treated to the sound of Lawler's voice. "Ahh, Wight has him by the throat... Chokeslam!" The referee counts to three. The camera pans around the arena as Paul Wight nods, proud of what he just did. The camera then cuts back to Wight now with a mic in hand, the music begins to really slow down almost coming to a complete halt. Paul Wight raises the mic to speak, just like before, his voice is slightly distorted and has a small echo. "I've had enough! What did I do? You all saw it..." The screen flashes back and forth between Wight in the ring and the figure shown backstage, we once again see a broken Daniel Bryan and a poor cameraman plummeting to the ground. "You are entering a world of hurt!" The camera once again pans around showing the jeering audience. "It's been far too long. It's time to switch to something... Something that will strike more fear into people's souls. It's time to get Big." The one word "Big" stands out from the rest, echoing louder and longer than everything else that was said. "What it's time for, is the Big Show to mangle, destroy, and bloody anybody! Who get's in my way...." The music finally comes to a complete stop for the second time, the camera locked onto Big Show's face before fading to black completely.

The video package ends and we are backstage looking at a TV showing nothing but the WCF Raw logo. The camera slowly pans around to show Josh Mathews with a mic in hand, poised to speak.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time... Daniel Bryan.

The camera zooms out and moves slightly to the left, allowing Daniel Bryan to be seen in the shot. He's noticeably angry and doesn't appear to be concentrating but eventually looks up at Josh when a "Yes!" chant can be heard breaking out in the arena.

Daniel, we just seen the footage. Why do you think the Big Show attacked you?

Daniel Bryan

Well isn't it obvious? I mean he basically said it himself. Paul Wight... Big Show, is out to make a statement and apparently I'm the one he chooses to make an example of but you see, that was a big mistake by him. I'm a former Intercontinental champion, former WWF champion, Royal Rumble winner and I have headlined Wrestlemania and I have won... I'm no pushover. If Big Show wants to prove he still matters then I say bring it. I have kept quiet for too log and do you know what Josh, I would like to be back on top just like I should be. Wight thinks I'll be a stepping stone for him? NO! He'll be my stepping stone, one "Big" stepping stone. Show picked on the wrong man, that's his mistake.

Josh Mathews

Forgive me, but you had a match against him just last week. A match in which he won, he showed no signs of weakness. How can you hope to combat that?

Daniel Bryan

Two weeks ago I was attacked from behind. I was hit with chairs and slammed through tables onto a hard floor. I was barely cleared to compete last week but I did anyway. If Show wants to brag about beating an already broken man, fair enough. But I hold my head high and am proud of what I did last week. I went out there, and I put in all I could, now ask yourself this Josh. If the roles were reversed, if Big Show was the one who was battered and bruised, would he have walked out there last week?

Daniel looks at Josh awaiting an answer but Josh fails to give one, instead he just stands there like a dumbass looking confused. However, as this is going on a "No!" Chant can be heard breaking out around the arena. Bryan shakes his head at Josh and speaks once more.

Daniel Bryan

No Josh, the answer to that question is no. That is also how I plan to combat him, how I plan to overcome him... He doesn't have even nearly as much passion as I do. Last week he beat me, that's fine. He grabbed me by the throat and he hoisted me up into the air before slamming me to the mat. He could have just as easily swung his fist at me, knocking me out on the spot. He's a man with many weapons in his arsenal and he knows how to use them... But I am Daniel Bryan. I know every submission hold there is to know, I'm faster that he is, much smarter than he is but best of all, I'm healthy this time around. Things are gonna be different this time. Just like you knocked me out two weeks ago, I'm going to break your jaw when I put my knee to your head and lay you out.

Bryan is about to walk away but turns back as if realising something.

I almost forgot, I spoke to Mr John Laurinaitis earlier tonight. When I'm done making Big Show hurt tonight, I get to do it all again this Sunday at Survivor Series...

Immediately cheers can be heard from the arena but Bryan keeps talking.

Daniel Bryan

Wait, wait, wait that isn't all. The winner of tonight's match, gets to choose the stipulation... YES! YES! YES!

The audience in the arena join in with Daniel for a few seconds before the Big Show's theme hits. Daniel stops what he was doing and turns around looking at the tv which is behind him. The tv now shows the Big Show coming out from the back and making his way towards the ring.

((Hey fatass, your turn))

Bryan slowly starts getting back to his feet, he grabs the mic off the floor and glares at Big Show standing in the ring. He begins limping around towards the steel steps with his hand on his head and the mic raised to his mouth.

Daniel Bryan

That's just like you Big Show, to attack someone from behind like that, it's typical of you.

Bryan proceeds up the steps, enters the ring and stands across from Big Show.

Daniel Bryan

Look at you... You're a giant, You weigh 500lbs, you're easily one of the strongest men I have ever come up against and yet you're just so damn stupid. Imagine what would happen if you would just think for once, if you would stop being a coward and if you gave each and every match your all instead of trying to take the easy way out and attack people from behind and trying to use your size and strength alone to get what you want. I guess old habits die had huh?

Big Show is beginning to look annoyed as Daniel keeps pressing.

Daniel Bryan

You've had a long career Show and you've held many titles, but you've never quite been the guy that everyone aspires to be. Sometime, not so long from now, when you're retired and looking back on your career, will you be happy? Can you look back and honestly say that you did the best that you possibly could? Could you say that  you won everything that you possibly could? Or will you look back and say that you could've been so much more that just a big, fat, sloppy, disappointment. Don't worry though, when you're looking back over your career in whichever way you choose to do, I'll make sure you don't remember what's going to happen this Sunday.

As soon as Bryan finishes speaking, Big Show lunges towards him swinging his fist straight for Daniel's head. Daniel However ducks under, drops the mic and darts towards the ropes on the other side of the ring before rebounding back at Show. Big Show turns around angrily but is met with Daniel Bryan's knee straight to his skull. Show falls to the mat unconscious. Daniel jumps up to his feet and lifts the mic back up off the floor. He walks over to the laid out Big Show and leans over him.

Daniel Bryan

You just don't think, do you? Take a deep breath and relax. Count to ten.

Bryan places the mic down beside Big Show, stands up straight and raises his hands in the air.

Daniel Bryan

YES!

Daniel leads the audience an a slower than usual "YES!" chant, he does this 10 times in the space of 10 seconds imitating a referee's count. After the tenth chant he stops and lifts the mic back off the floor.

Daniel Bryan

I'm sure even you would've worked this one out by now... This Sunday Show, at Survivor Series, we will meet in a Last Man Standing match. I'm sure someone will let you know when you wake up later.

Bryan drops the mic and his theme music hits once more. He goes over to the corner and leads another "YES!" chant and the camera fades out and Raw cuts to commercial break.
