This was his moment; this is what he has been waiting for ever since he signed his contract with this company. H wanted to make a name for himself and he was going to get his chance to do that as his first match on the major show will be against a champion none the less. This was Wade Barrett chance to show everyone just what kind of man he is, defeat was out of the question for him. Only success waited him tonight. The WCF logo flashed on the screen as we are then taken backstage as we find Wade Barrett. He was dressed to compete, and by the look in his eyes I would not fancy the chances of Cody Rhodes tonight. Wade Barrett looks at the camera and grins as he rubs his face and then begins to speak.

Do you want to know something interesting, something most of you here have forgotten or just ignored. I am without a doubt probably one of the biggest, if not the biggest guy in this company. I'm six foot five and two hundred sixty pounds. I don't care how fast you are I'm going to dominate over you; it’s the law of physics. I'm not clumsy like most of the big guys. I have class and intelligence; I can be sick yet smart. Brains over brawn is good. However, brains a d brawn is by far better. I'm the whole package; it's my destiny to dominate. I never come in second, that's why I came to this company. I was tired of being second, I was tired of always being second. I want to be only one thing and that’s first, because I was born a winner my friends. I was born to win and I am going to show you all that tonight by winning my match against this pathetic Cody Rhodes you have the nerve to call a champion. [Wade Barrett starts to smirk, as he admires the fan's negative reaction as he would hear them booing him.] Go ahead boo me, go ahead and boo greatness. It doesn't matter what you people think of me. The only thing that matters is what I think and when I say something it is god damn true. This is the beginning of Wade Barret's age of time, mark it down! This is my time and only my time and I am not the type of man that likes to share the spotlight or success. I have had enough of that in my past, now it is all about me and only me. I am a man on a mission and whomever gets in my way...to put it nice terms...is going to get seriously hurt. So I am indeed sorry to be the bearer of bad news but to all the guys in the back, from now on its Wade Barrett's era, count yourself lucky to be living in it. I promise it’s better to join me now and get on my good side, because otherwise consider yourself to put in my 'WasteLand', a place where failures go. It's hard to find divinity when you're the king of the talent here. I have seen the roster and the talent here is very impressive, I will give it that. However, nobody on that roster is even close to being on my level, period. I am the best here and I am going to prove it the only way I know how, by winning my match and making an example out of Cody Rhodes.

The crowd would continue to boo Wade Barrett as the cocky British superstar would merely ignore them as he would then waste little time in speaking back to the camera one more time.

My first match here on the main show will be one to remember. It will be Wade Barrett facing off against a weak champion. Cody Rhodes I no champion let me tell you that right now. The man has no talent, never has and never will. I mean how can he call himself a champion in the first place? All he has done is do what he does best, devalue any championship he gets his little hands on. That championship around his waist is nothing more than scrap metal, that’s all it is. Because of him a once great championship is nothing more than a dinner plate. Cody Rhodes knows this and he knows there is only one man here that can change that and it’s me. That’s why his championship si not on the line tonight, that’s why he never placed it on the line, because he knows I would not just defeat him, I would take his championship as well. So as far as I am concerned he can keep his scraps, I don’t want them. I have my eyes set upon a bigger prize and as of right now Cody Rhodes is just a mere stepping stone for me. Cody I want you to know something, I want that one brain cell to process what I am going to say, this is not personal, this is just business. You are in my way and you have got to be removed, it is just that simple. Cody, everything you have worked for, everything you have talked about doing is going to come crashing down, I am going to reveal you for what you are, a weak champion. You will see what I already know, that I am better than Cody Rhodes. So Cody I want you to know, no matter you say or do, you are walking to your defeat tonight. Your run here is coming to an end; your defeat is at hand my little friend. Tonight you will look up at your better, you will look up at the man that ended your dreams, you will look up at the man that is going to change this company, Wade Barrett!

A faint laugh can be heard from down the hall. Barrett looks to his left to see a man standing in the distance, slowly walking towards Barrett.

???: "Ha, ha, ha. Wade Barrett. Glad to see someone from across the pond actually had the time to settle his tea down and get the biscuits out of his mouth. I'm happy for you man, but I gotta know - did a man of your caliber - the man "who is going to change this company" - did you swim across the ocean or take the boat that all the plebs operate?"

Wade Barrett scrunches up his nose as none other than Chris Jericho appears from the dimly lit hallway into frame. As this image appears on the titantron, the crowd erupts into roars.

Chris Jericho: "Do you see how stupid you sound when you walk in here all high and mighty? You do realize you aren't the only person that can lace up a pair of boots and walking into that ring and flail your body around right? Hell, I bet that broom over in the corner is more of a veteran to that ring than you are. Do you forget that back in the - dare I say it - "other" "company" - I helped you become who you are today? Sure you had the strength but you wouldn't be standing here looking into this camera if it wasn't for me. Maybe you wouldn't even be standing where you are period, because of the road I paved for people like you."

Jericho continues to laugh as he continues.

Chris Jericho: "I really love it though Wade. You've been away from this sport for how many months? Still you come out here talking about Cody's title and how you claim if it was around your waist you would somehow make it more valuable? I agree with you that Cody is an awful champion and someone of his caliber should never have been signed to this company, but come on. With your time out of this business I'm not even sure if that belt can fit around your waist. Put on a couple pounds there, eh? When you face Cody tonight I will be watching. I just want you to know one thing though - when the match is over, don't be surprised when it's your head laying on that title that is nothing but a dinner plate anymore."

Barrett is visibly getting heated as Jericho finishes it off with one last request.

Chris Jericho: "Barrett, if you are a real Brit like you claim to be, you will have the guts to face me next week on RAW. That's right Wade - next week on RAW - The Phenomenal Code Breaker: Chris Jericho against the man who doesn't look like he fits in anywhere: Wade Barrett." What do you say I introduce you to this business in a way that Cody Rhodes will fail to deliver win or lose tonight?"

Jericho smirks as he waits for a reply from Wade.

Wade Barrett would look at his former mentor, looking him up and down and he was not one bit impressed with what he saw. Chris Jericho standing before him, insulting him like he was his rookie once again. Wade Barrett turns his head and looks down to the ground, a smirk forming on his face as he stares his former mentor right in the eyes. Jericho would stand at his side as Wade Barrett chuckles and then begins to speak.

Well I can’t say that I am surprised. I knew sooner or later you would be coming to find me. After all you are the sort of man that likes to take credit for everything and you did not disappoint. As soon as you seen me standing here, you came running down that hallway trying to take all the attention of me and trying to redirect it on to yourself. It is just like NXT all over again. You are stealing my spotlight and I won’t allow it, I won’t bloody well allow some Canadian with an inflated ego stealing my spotlight.

Wade Barrett would then get right into the face of Chris Jericho. The taller of the two, Wade Barrett towers of Chris Jericho and this sight would bring another smirk to his face.

I am flattered that you have taken an interest in me already. I am flattered that you want to watch my match, but even you know that I deserve better than Cody Rhodes. I deserve something far more sustainable. You know why this company has started me off so at the bottom? I'll tell you why! It is because that's how truly frightened this place is of me. This place is scared of the Winds Of Change that I’m going to bring! That's okay, because very soon I’m going to be the face of this company. When I was in the WWE, I started out with literally almost nothing. I was on NXT, fighting my way just for a contract. I did exactly what I said I was going to do, I won the contract. Then in the next month, I was already fighting for the world championship, I was main eventing! You know why? Because that's what guys like me do, we take the whole show! Jericho you know what I can do, you have seen it first-hand. I would rather you joined me, but you have made your stand. You have sided against me, and that’s fine with me. A man like you could never work with someone like myself. You could never work with someone that has surpassed you in everyone imaginable.

Wade Barrett would laugh once more as he steps away from Chris Jericho. He doesn’t want anything to get too far out of hand, after all Chris Jericho was his former mentor, he respects him a little bit and that’s enough to stop him from striking him down.

I want you to watch tonight Jericho. I want you to sit in the back and watch as I steal the show. Watch as I make an example out of Cody. He may have talent, but he is not a god of wrestling. You see when you look at a guy like Cody you see plain old average, but when you look at a guy like Wade Barrett you see better. Even you know that Jericho. Cody is a solid D while I am an A plus. I've got brains, technique, and size over him. I hold all the cards and I will do what I do best, I will defeat him. And when I am done with him…when I am finished cleaning his blood of my knuckles then I will deal with you Jericho. Next week you will get what you want from me, you will get me in that ring and you will wish that you just stayed away from me and kept your mouth shut, because you’re going to regret everything you said old pal of mine.
