(A video package on the main event match for the PPV Final Resolution shows in a quick break from the show and when the video is over we return to the show and very oddly see The Phenomenal AJ Styles in the ring with a micra phone about to speak.)
AJ Styles: My name is AJ Styles and I am not here for the money or the fame or the women or even the fortune! I am here for the fans and the fact that I get to be able to compete against some of the best pure wrestlers in the world in competitive, violant, brutal match ups! People may say why do you want to risk your body,health and even life for this company? Well I will tell you why its because I love it!
(The fans cheer loudly and start to be on AJ's side.)
AJ Styles: To be quite frank here the women, fame, fortune or money are just things that come along with my dream job that I love! The fact of the matter is that if I dont do this competitive sport this brutal form of combat I loose my mind! If I dont do this I dont know what to do with my life for example some crap that happens in life will go down and if I dont have a match up against a wrestler that week I am just going to get soo angry but keep it inside then lash out or shout at the people I care about weather thats friends or family its bound to happen.
(The fans really start to get behind AJ Styles and it is clear that the fans are right behind and supporting AJ Styles!)
AJ Styles: Guys I really appreciate the cheers and good support I really do! Now weather people know me already from my independent days or I am a new face to them around here I would just like you to know weather you hate me or love it doesn't matter because all the fans watching at home or the fans in the crowd are why myself and every other wrestler in the back there can make this dream a reality! (Slight tears start to come down from one of AJ Styles eyes but he gets his composure back together and continues to speak...)
AJ Styles: Sorry for crying a little here its just I get a little emotional at times like this...
(AJ Styles is cut off by some etrance theme music and a video on the titantron...)

Bobby Roode slowly walks down the ramp to the ring, not taking his eyes off AJ Styles as he makes his way to him.
Jim Ross: Well this is a surprise, is Bobby Roode back?
Jerry Lawler: It looks like it J.R. It's no secret that Roode and Styles have a clouded past, but what is it that brought Roode out here now?
Bobby Roode walks over to the steel steps and climbs onto the apron before entering the ring, his sigh fixated on a confused AJ Styles, he stands opposite him as AJ raises his microphone to his mouth.
AJ Styles: I'm not sure what you're here for but..
Roode quickly retaliates with a response as he lifts the mic to his lips.
Bobby Roode Actually AJ, you shouldn't worry about that..
Roode grins which leaves AJ even more confused.
Bobby Roode You see AJ, I...
Without warning, Roode drops his microphone and charges straight towards AJ Styles, striking him down to the canvas with a perfectly aimed spear.
Jim Ross: Oh come on! What a disgusting attack by that man, Roode should be ashamed of himself. AJ Styles was simply excited to return to the ring, to return to his fans, he doesn't deserve this!
Jerry Lawler: Are you kidding me? This exactly what AJ deserves. No one should ever be that happy to see these people.
The crowd roar with loud jeers aimed at the smug Roode who is standing over AJ, looking down with a smirk across his face as AJ holds onto his ribs. Roode isn't done yet as he walks over to the ropes and rolls underneath the bottom rope to the outside, he kneels down beside the apron and begins to search for something before pulling out a steel chair, which he promptly tosses into the ring, followed by another and another. Roode laughs to himself before getting up to his feet and rolling back into the ring, he grabs one of the chairs he threw into the ring and slowly, menacingly walks over to the wounded AJ Styles. Roode takes the opportunity to talk trash to AJ as he holds the chair in his grasp, but he's taken by surprise as AJ kicks the chair out of his hands, Roode looks over to where the chair landed and before he gets the chance to grab it, AJ is back to his feet and on the attack. AJ kicks a surprised Bobby Roode in his midsection which causes him to arch over, AJ then kicks him in the lower leg, which causes him to keel over even more, now on one leg, AJ spots his opportunity as the crowd cheer him on. AJ prepares to hit Roode with the Styles Clash, he has him in place, he raises his arms up into the air and roars loudly and goes to lift Roode, but something causes him to loosen his grip and release Roode as he feels a sharp pain shoot up the side of his shoulder.
Jim Ross: What? Is that...
The crowd return to their jeering as Austin Aries stands over AJ with the chair he just smacked across his back, he nods to Roode who is just regaining his composure, Roode backs himself into the corner and gets back to his feet, he looks on with the same sadistic smile as before as Aries continues his assault, firing down shot after shot against AJ's back. AJ yells out in pain, completely defenceless but Aries isn't relenting, Roode is more than happy to watch as he walks around the ring basking in the heat directed at both himself and his good friend. Aries finishes his assault with a chair with one huge shot against the spine of Styles, he throws the chair down to the canvas beside him and turns to Roode who points to the outside before exiting the ring himself. Aries lifts the dead weight of AJ Styles and proceeds to throw him over the top rope to the outside, where he lands right in front of Roode's feet. AJ claws at Roode's boots, trying to muster up any strength he can, but it's no use, Roode's face suddenly drops, all of the joy quickly disappears and he stares a hole through AJ who's looking up to him, begging for some leeway. Roode lifts Styles to his feet and supports his weight as he hooks his right arm around AJ's head, he lifts him up into the air, grabbing hold of his midsection as he does, hitting the Pay off against the padded cement floor.
Jim Ross: Come on now, that's enough! He's had enough, leave him alone you animals!
Jerry Lawler: Careful J.R, you might burst a blood vessel.
Aries still in the ring looks out over the ropes to Roode who is pointing down at AJ. Aries turns to the turnbuckle besides him and motions for Roode to move away, he does so and Aries sprints over to the corner, hopping onto the turnbuckle with one leap, he looks down to the outside and prepares himself before taking off for the 450 splash, he connects perfectly with AJ, knocking the wind out of himself in the process. AJ isn't moving as Aries splashes around the outside, holding his ribs in pain. Roode walks over to Aries and helps him to his feet, the two laugh maniacally as they look down at AJ Styles, feeling nothing but satisfaction over their assault.
