As Nitro rolls on a sense of disappointment can be felt throughout the arena. This is the last Nitro. The commentary team is lacking, the fans are heartbroken and the superstars are not feeling it. Before long Rhodes' music hits the speakers and some of the crowd bounces to life. He walks out, the usual smile that appears on his face is nowhere to be found.
Cody makes his way down the ramp, not stopping to taunt or to shake hands. He heads straight for the ring and climbs up the steel steps. He asks for a mic then plants himself in the middle of the ring.
Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, Bobby Heenan. . .today is a sad day indeed. This is the last episode of Monday Night Nitro to be aired. It's true, once again, the WWF has bought us out and we two brands are merging once more. Not everyone from the roster will make it, so will be left behind, casualties of business. But I know that yours truly has been handed a contract for the new show. But do I want it? Hell yes I do. . .Do I need it? Hell yes. . .I do. But I'm not going to leave without saying goodbye. Not to all of you, you could just tune into Monday Night RAW, yay! I want to say goodbye to the WCW! My home. It's been good to me these past few months. I've made friends, I've made foes and I've climbed my way to the top. Edge, Dolph, Punk, Bad Influence, Road Dogg. . .and so many more. We've butted heads and we've put on some great matches, but it's time for me to go. To my new home. But bare this people. We still have a PPV coming up this weekend, Bash at the Beach. Where I will be featured in a fatal-4-way match for the World title, and I plan on taking that title with me.
Cody smiles as the crows lets out a cheer. He looks around then continues.
And as for Dolph Ziggler, it's only right that my last mission here in the WCW will be to take him and his lackeys down. To rid WCW of their infection. Rid all of you of them. This Sunday everything will be on the line. It all comes to and end. And I plan on giving it my best shot. To give you all a worthy send off. But as I said, we're not done yet. We still have a main event to get to, ladies and gents. So if you would all welcome my lovely partner, Mr. Suntan Lotion!
The crowd erupts with laughter and praise as Ziggler's theme hits and he comes strutting out onto the stage.
(The main event starts)
---10 Minuets Later---
Heenan: Dolph just keeps on refusing to tag in Cody, that's a boy!
Tenay: That's a boy!? He's getting the crap kicked out of him, he needs Cody!
Cody stands on the apron, begging for the tag, but Ziggler continues to deny him one. Kazarian lays Dolph out with a Spinning Complete Shot then looks to the fans and points to the ropes. He runs at them and leaps of, hitting a picture perfect Lionsault. As Kaz goes for the pin, Rhodes turns around, facing the fans as the ref's hand hits the mat for a three. Rhodes laughs and hops down the the concrete floor. Bad Influence celebrate by raising their tag team titles in the air, Dolph remains floored, not moving. As Rhodes walks up the ramp he simply takes a bow and looks at the two superstars in the ring.
I'll see you this Sunday.
With that he turns around and walks off, leaving Dolph in the hands of BI.
