Alright there has been plenty of discussion behind the scenes here at WCFLeague, and I am here to bring those discussions to light. It was made clear that people are happy with the state of the site, we just need more spice to get people interested in promoing again and getting story lines on the road. These new things that we plan on implementing are designed to allow you members to have a fresh feel and a new appreciation, as well as draw in the attention of new members. Without further ado here are the changes we are making in the next couple of weeks.
Changes to look forward to:- Dropping the "WWF". What this means is that we are finally going to embrace our "WCF" name. In context, Vince McMahon was the leader of everything around here but that is soon to change. Shortly, there will be a promo posted by one of our mods which will display the shift in power from Vince to a different figure head. In turn this will drop WWF from the name and bring in WCF.
This will not affect announcers, rosters, or shows. They will still be RAW and SmackDown!, but they will simply be the current era arenas.- #1 Contenders for titles are now promo based! Want a shot at the heavyweight title? Want a shot at the IC title? No longer will you always have to compete in tournaments (sometimes there will be an exception) but from now on we will be handing out title shots to people who deserve them. If you have many promos, and are constantly putting out top notch story lines, then consider yourself an eventual contender for a WCF title.
- Tag Team Titles are going to be vacated with the sudden disbandment of the tag team champions. They will still be around, just not as active as the other titles we currently have in WCF. Once there are at least two tag teams formed and willing to compete for the titles, there will be some sort of match for the belts.
- Debut promos and backstage promos are on their way out. The backstage promo section was never used as it should have been, and we feel it would clear up some visual space by removing it completely. If you want short promos, you can post them normally in the promo section. Since there are no grades, you don't have to worry about length anymore. (However, quality and length still affect the future of your superstar as far as story lines and title shots.) There will be a new WCF.com section where mostly myself I believe but maybe a few other moderators or admins will be posting things in the format of an online blog or dirtsheet.
An example of this? Let's say someone changes their finisher or joins the fed. You might see something like this on the WCF.com section: Scouts have just reported to WCF.com that Paul Wight has been seen at the local training camps working on a new finishing move. It is rumored that this move is the Cobra Clutch Backbreaker. Or something like WCF.com executives report that Stone Cold Steve Austin has just signed the dotted line with WCF. Welcome to the show!- We will be removing the points section completely. We feel this will be a huge change for the better of this fed. The points system was a good idea but while not 100% refined, we feel this is a better route to go. Below I will post an in depth Shop Zone alternatives list which you will be able to see what goes, and what stays and is obtainable through specific methods.
- Updated RAW cards. This is what I am most excited for. I'm not sure if everything will be nailed out for the next RAW card, but expect to see graphics on the cards, and blurbs below the match ups explain why the two were matched up and what they have been doing.
An example of the blurb may be as follows. Assume this is for Mr. Kennedy vs Umaga. The match is the first one on the RAW card. "While having both been rather quiet as of late, Mr. Kennedy and Umaga face off this week one on one. These two men looked hungry against their respective opponents last week, and we are hoping this week will see more on mic time and angers flaring."As for right now this is what we have to look forward to here on WCF. I will post the list of shop zone items later once I get the chance. For now, we hope you enjoy and welcome to the Revolution Era!
