Randy Orton vs. Curtis Axel

These last few months haven't been the best. I made the bold decision to unite myself with Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk,  two of the most successful superstars in this industry, I thought that with the three of us stood by each other, nothing could touch us... But I was wrong. Not even two weeks after joining forces with them, I was forced into defending my United States Championship against a brutal giant by none other than Cody Rhodes... I lost that match and quickly dusted myself off, challenging Bad Influence for the Tag Team Championships... Once again, I was walking away with a loss... Things didn't get better after that... I went on what became my first losing streak in my historical career... And if that wasn't enough... Throughout all of it... I had a thorn in my side...

Curtis Axel... The man that practically had to beg to be a part of Legion, also the man that no one knew was a part of Legion. He couldn't stand to see me getting championship shots after championship shots while he was left to sit on the side and watch... For the last couple of weeks, he has called me out with his degrading words... He clearly wanted to fight... So I gave him one... With Dolph at my side, nothing could have gone wrong, or so I thought... Ziggler distracted me! He cost me the one chance I had to redeem myself by beating the sense back into that scum of a human being! He and Punk, they chose Axel over me. I don't need that, I don't need them! All I need is myself... and tonight, once I step into the ring with Axel again, I'll show them all that Randy Orton is a force to be reckoned with.

Orton walks away as the camera fades to black.


During the match.


Randy Orton has absolutely destroyed Curtis Axel here tonight, he has him begging for mercy as Orton tosess him out onto the apron and hooks his head and neck, dragging him through the second rope and setting up for his signature move. With a sick, sadistic grin, Orton uses all of his force to bring Axel crashing down to the with a vicious Spike DDT. After the beating he's taken at the hands of the Viper, Axel is completely out of it, but Orton isn't done yet as he kicks Axel out of the ring through the bottom rope. Axel lands hard against the floor as Orton quickly jumps out of the ring beside him. Axel claws and drags himself along the cold floor, trying to get away, but Orton grabs hold of his leg and pulls him back before scooping him up. Orton holds a dazed Curtis Axel up with one arm against his neck as he mocks him before jumping up into the air and bringing Axel down with a thunderous bang. The crowd are going wild as the referee reaches a count of 7 and Orton slides back into the ring. The referee counts to 10 and Orton's music plays throughout the arena, he slides out of the ring once more and heads over to the announcers table to grab himself a microphone before heading back over to the downed Curtis Axel.

I told you... I told you that you were nothing but a pathetic waste of space. You might be a second generation superstar, but unlike me, you will never live up to your father's name... Let alone surpass it. He was perfect.. You are scum. You don't belong in the WCF, Axel... Your aren't in the same league as any of the other superstars out in the back... and that includes Stephanie McMahon. I'm about to do you a favour and put an end to your misery... Trust me... in due time... you will thank us.

The crowd are confused from Orton's last word but it soon becomes clear as Austin Aries jumps over the barricade from the crowd behind him, soon followed by The Miz who is running down the ramp. Aries rips apart the protective pad beside Axel until there is a clear revelation of the concrete underneath. Miz scoops up Axel and hooks both his arms from behind before bringing him down to the ground with a sharp thud as his head makes contact with the concrete. The crowd are in shock and awe as Orton rolls Axel over and slaps his head, holding it in place for the camera to zoom in and show a close up of the blood ripping down his forehead. Orton and Aries share a vile smirk as he smashes Axel's skull into the concrete once more. Aries jumps up onto the apron and makes his way over to the turnbuckle, he pulls himself up onto the top and prepares himself as he eyes his target, he dives, performing a 450 degrees turn in the air before splashing down onto Axel's ribs. Aries feels the pain himself as he rolls around on the floor holding his stomach.


Axel appears to be out cold now as Orton lifts up his head once more, he motions to The Miz, who kneels down and grabs axel, placing him so that his stomach is resting against Miz's legs and his head is unprotected. Orton backs up as far as he can go, his face expressionless, he charges towards Axel and connects with a vicious boot to the side of his skull. Miz pushes Axel back to the floor and gets back to his feet alongside Orton and Aries. The three men look down at the carnage they've caused as the camera takes one final look at the bloodied Axel before returning its attention to the three men standing tall over his body. Each man raises his arm in unison as we head to a commercial break.
