Josh
Hello everyone, and welcome back to Monday night Raw!
Mathews' voice rings throughout the arena as the big screen shines with the image of him holding a mic up to his smiling face.
Josh
I'm Josh Mathews and joining me at this time is the one and only, United States Champion, Cody Rhodes!
Cody pops into frame from the left hand side of the screen, a rather serious look on his face.
Josh
Thank you for joining me here tonight, Cody. I know for a fact that myself and many of the fans here in this arena want to know just what they saw last week. And what I'm referring to of course is your vicious assault on Triple H before the Money in the Bank ladder match.
Josh holds the mic out to Cody who raises his eyebrows.
Cody
Is there a question hidden in there, or. . .
Josh
Well, ugh, WHY did you do it?
Cody smirks, letting out a small laugh.
Cody
Well Josh, there are a lot of reasons why I did what I did last week. One being that he just flat out deserved it. Two being that he DIDN'T deserve to be in that match. And three being that. . . Well, . . . Let me be completely honest when I say that one of the biggest reasons I attacked Hunter from behind last week, rendering him incapable of competing, is that I needed to make sure Drew McIntyre didn't win Money in the Bank. Now you may look at me now and say, "but Cody, he DID win Money in the Bank!" Well, first off thank you for reminding me, and second, yes, he did technically "win" the briefcase, but did he REALLY!? If you watch the tape playback from the match, you can clearly see that I had my hands on the briefcase when it was pulled down. So who's really to say that it wasn't I that brought down the briefcase with my impressive strength? Who's to say, Josh, who? Oh yeah, that's right, Drew is the one to say. Well, I'll tell you what Drew, I don't give a damn what you have to say. Now you saw first hand what I did to that old sack of bones, Triple H, last week. So just imagine what I'm going to do to you tonight in our match. Or better yet, what Brock Lesnar is going to do to you! That's right folks, it's going to be Drew McIntyre taking on the Dashing Duo of Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes in a brilliantly made match by the general manager of Raw, Stephanie McMahon!
Cody smiles as the WCF fans let their voices be heard, booing at the top of their lungs. He then looks to Josh and shrugs.
Cody
The fans seem to love the idea, don't you think, Josh?-
Before Cody can let another word slip from his smiling mouth, he's struck from behind with a mighty blow, throwing him into the cameraman. He smacks off the camera and falls back, knocking into Josh on the way down. A figure then pounces on top of him, raining down lefts and rights. Shot after shot after shot are thrown into Cody's Dashing face as he try's to cover up. But the mystery man is relentless, having to be pulled of by three referees. Rhodes cowers in pain as the refs struggle to pull the man back, they shout and yell, but the man breaks free from them and returns to Cody, getting in a few more shots. This time the camera catches the man's face, revealing him as none other than Triple H! The fans go ape shit as Hunter is once more pulled away from Cody, this time with the help of some extra referees.
Triple H
Come on, huh!? You want some, tough guy!? You're mine Rhodes! That title is mine! You hear me!? I'll be seeing you this Sunday Rhodes, THIS SUNDAY!
Hunter's shouts become quieter and quieter as he is pulled down the hallway, kicking and screaming. The camera pans over and rests on an official who is checking on The United States Champion, making sure he's okay. Rhodes smacks the refs hand away, refusing help. He simply wipes the blood from his mouth and spits, shaking his head back and forth.
The segment begins to fade on Cody continuing to refuse help, shouting at the officials.
Cody
I don't need your help, I don't need your help!
(Meh, not my best work, but I wasn't really feeling it tonight. Closed and what not.)
