This business has a funny way of coming full circle sometimes. I've been on a rollercoaster ride throughout my entire career. Injuries, personal issues and roadblocks are a dime a dozen in professional wrestling. Enemies are far more common than friends, and its hard to trust anybody. What I'm getting around to here, is that this business can be a pretty damn harsh mistress. So when opportunity comes knocking, you'd better be ready to answer the door because there's no telling how long it will be before you get your chance at another big break.
If I've learned anything since returning to the WCF, it's that nobody, and I mean nobody, is willing to go anything less than one hundred percent in pursuit of their goals. And what are those goals?
Folks, I don't care to inflate my ego any more than we all know it already is, but many people would claim that I, Curt Hennig am one of the true greats when it comes to the intercontinental championship; a championship that is the goal of any wrestler worth his salt in this business. A championship that is so often synonymous with the best pure wrestlers within the company.

I give you all the credit in the world for representing the Intercontinental Championship for what it truly is - the workhorse title of the WCF. And now I find myself back in a familiar position. A position I was in so many years ago when I first came into what was then known as the WWF. I have a golden opportunity to become the workhorse Intercontinental champion once again. Understand this, Fandango, I'm honored to have the chance to face you at Final Resolution. And i'll be even more honored to walk away with a championship that I helped make what it is today. Be ready, Fandango.
