A week in the life of Drew

--- Raw last week---

The show cuts to Josh Mathews backstage with a microphone.

Mathews: Ladies and gentlemen my guest at this time, Drew McIntyre.

The audience can be heard cheering from the arena as the camera zooms out to show Drew standing next to Josh in his ring gear.

Drew this Sunday at the King of the ring PPV you will be the special referee in the WWF championship match between Tyson Kidd and Rikishi however tonight the roles are reversed when you take on the champ Rikishi with Tyson Kidd as the guest official. Your thoughts?

Drew: Well what can I say, I'm not worried if that's what you're asking. I've beaten Rikishi in the past, I knew I was good enough to beat him back then and I know I can do it again. I see this as an opportunity to show everyone that I should be up there competing for the title and once I win tonight everyone will see that. As for Tyson being the referee in that match I don't think I need to worry. He's a smart guy and he knows that anything he does to me tonight will come back at him twofold this Sunday in his championship match.

Are you planning to take sides in that match?

Let's just say that depends on how tonight goes.



Alright. You also have the king of the ring tournament this Sunday in which you will need to fight four other superstars should you go all the way. How do you plan in going about those matches?

Well that's the question everyone asks themselves when up against something like this isn't it? Should you take things slowly and save your energy or should you try to finish as quickly as possible going all out and giving yourself more time to rest? I personally don't think it matters. All I'm going to be focusing on is actually advancing to the next round otherwise what's the point? I'll probably take the latter option but through instinct not gameplan.

What about any opponents you could come up against, are the some you would prefer fighting than others?

My first round opponent is Alex Riley, that's all I know for sure so far. It has been weeks since anyone has seen or heard from him and I actually doubt he'll show up, but if he does he'll surely have a little ring rust and I'll use that to my advantage so I'm fairly confident that I'll advance to the quarter final. As for that match I want Austin Aries. Last week he beat me one on one on Raw and I returned the favour by pinning him along with the European champion which makes us one for one against each other, I want to see who's the better man in that situation. From there on it doesn't really matter although I would like to meet either HBK or Daniel Bryan in the final.

Why those two?

I'd like to think the reasons are fairly obvious.

And finally, what do you plan to do after this Sunday?

Well that's yet to be decided. I'd imagine that being King would have its perks but should I lose then I'm sure I'd find something to do with myself. As previously stated I beat the European champion last week, maybe I decide to go do that again. Only time will tell.

Don't mention it.

Drew walks off as the camera follows him. He walks past some stacked up chairs and tables, a blonde chick at the vending machine and Alberto Del Rio bickering to himself in Spanish before turning the corner to be standing face to face with Tyson Kidd. The two stare at each other for a moment before Drew smiles and walks past him, the camera stays on Tyson before fading to black.

--- In the main event of that night ---

Raw comes back from commercial break in the middle of the main event match between Drew McIntyre and Rikishi.

JR: We are back live here folks in the middle of this back and forth match between Rikishi and Drew McIntyre. Just before the break we seen Rikishi take control once again with a kick to the face of McIntyre and Drew has yet to recover from that.

Lawler: I'm actually surprised Drew isn't unconscious from that kick but Rikishi is giving Drew no time to recover.

Drew breaks free of a grapple attempt by Rikishi and the two start trading blows in the centre of the ring. Just as Drew starts to get the upper hand Rikishi pushes him away and then delivers another big kick to the face of Drew which sends him tumbling out of the ring. Rikishi looks over the ropes and chuckles to himself slightly before turning around into a Code Blue from Kidd.

What the hell?

I knew it was only a matter of time JR. What did you expect Tyson to do?

Tyson takes a step back to survey the damage he'd just done as Drew begins to pull himself up on the outside. He rolls into the ring and uses the ropes to pull himself up to his feet before turning around to see Rikishi stirring on the floor. He turns to look at Tyson for a moment looking confused and after their stare down a slight smile crosses the face of Kidd. Drew turns his attention back to Rikishi who is now trying to pull himself back to his feet, he walks over to lift up Rikishi who quickly comes to life and hits Drew with the Omega Driver and goes for the cover.

What the hell is Tyson doing? Count!

It's like you didn't expect this to happen JR. Kidd wants to get on Drew's good side and what better way to do that than by helping him defeat the world champion.

After what looked to have been a three count Drew kicks out and rolls over to the ropes pulling himself up again. As he does this Rikishi turns to Kidd and begins complaining, "What are you doing?! That was 3!" After a little more complaining Rikishi turns to go after Drew but turns right into an Alabama Slam. This doesn't keep Rikishi down for long as he gets up almost immediately but walks straight into a Codebreaker from Drew who goes for the cover.

Rikishi kicks out just before the three count.

This isn't really fair king, Tyson is working against Rikishi.

Come on JR! I don't like any of these guys out here but Tyson is being smart. Did you expect anything less?



Drew turns to look at Tyson once again with no expression on his face before lifting up Rikishi into the position for the Future Shock. Drew stands there for a moment with Rikishi's arms hooked looking at Tyson before delivering the move. Drew goes for the cover,

And there you have it...

Drew just pinned the champion!

With the help of Tyson Kidd.

Alright with the help of Tyson Kidd but surely you had to see this coming, plus I think Drew had him anyway.

Well we'll never know that now will we?

Drew's theme starts playing and Tyson walks over and raises Drew's hand declaring him the winner as the crowd make their mixed feelings heard and Drew still looking confused. After Kidd lets go of Drew's hand he walks away leaving Drew in the ring, the music stops. He looks at Rikishi who is still down before leaving the ring and walking over to take his WWF title.



He rolls back into the ring and stands over Rikishi still holding the title before placing the title on top of him. His theme hits again as he begins leaving the ring and Raw fades to black.

--- Onward to Smackdown ---

Smackdown comes back from commercial to show Drew walking backstage and knocking on someone's door.

???: Come in!

Drew opens the door and walks into the room where he is met by the faces of 5 other WWF superstars and Shane McMahon.

Shane: Nice of you  to finally join us Drew.

Don't mention it.

Well now that we're all here I can tell you the reason why I wanted to speak with all of you. As you're all aware, Mr. Perfect has disappeared from the WWF with no reason or communication with any of us. While this isn't a problem as we have plenty of superstars that can replace him, there is one thing that needs to be sorted out fast... The Money in the Bank briefcase. Mr. Perfect won the briefcase back at Wrestlemania, I'm sure a few of you will remember that.



Drew grunts and lowers his head.

However without Mr. Perfect here with the briefcase then the fear that he could cash in at any time is gone. So, it's time for something to be done about that. In two days time at the Saturday Night Main Event show there will be another six-man Money in the Bank ladder match for the briefcase, there are six of you in this room right now, only three of you will qualify for the match. Tonight there will be three matches between you guys in which the winner will advance. Are you all with me so far?

Drew looks up and smiles, Fandango looks confused and all superstars nod their heads almost in unison.

Now those with a simple understanding of maths would've noticed that there will be three spaces remaining, those spaces will be filled by superstars of WCW. I want the briefcase on WWF which is why I have some of the most talented wrestlers on the roster standing in front of me. I don't care who wins it as long as it's one of you, got it?

The superstars nod once more.

Alright good.

Shane turns around and lifts a sheet of paper from his desk.

On this sheet is the three matches which you have been pared up into, enjoy.

The paper is passed between the superstars to see. After Drew sees his opponent on the sheet his looks up and grins at Aries who is standing next to the door. He presses the sheet against Aries and says "See you out there" before pushing past him and leaving the room.

--- Halfway through the match between Drew and Aries ---

Drew going for the superplex here, both men are in a precarious situation here King. Blocked by Aries...

The two me begin trading blows in the corner.

This is dangerous. One of these men are going to get hurt.

As Drew was starting to get the upper hand Aries delivers a thumb to the eye allowing him to kick Drew down crushing to the floor.

That was a hard fall there from Drew.

Drew is set up! could be about to see a 450?

Aries flips himself off the turnbuckle towards Drew who just manages to roll out the way. With both men down the ref begins to count.

Aries crashing and burning to the mat. This could be the turning point of the match.

Wait a minute, JR look!

The fans begin cheering and booing all of a sudden when the camera turns to show Tyson Kidd making his way down the ramp.

What's he doing out here? He has no business coming down here.

Drew rolls over with a confused look on his face to see Tyson making his way down towards him. The camera can just pick up Drew shouting "What are you doing?" But Tyson doesn't answer back. Instead he shrugs and makes his way around to the announcer's booth to grab a chair and sits down in front of the commentary table.

As the referee gets to a count of 6 both men in the ring begin using the ropes to pull themselves up and they begin trading blows in the middle of the ring.

This is it, which one of these men will get the upper hand?

I'm keeping me eye on Kidd, I don't trust him being out here.

Drew begin to take control of Aries by delivering more punches in the center of the ring. He goes for one big hook which Aries ducks under and runs off the ropes but rebounds directly into a big boot from McIntyre.



Drew turns to look at Tyson still with a confused look on his face before turning his attention back to Aries. He lifts up Aries and delivers an Alabama slam before going for the pin.

Aries just gets the shoulder up. After Aries kicks out Kidd throws a belt over to the far end of the ring causing the referee to go dispose of it, as he does so Kidd slides a steel chair into the ring.

What the hell is Kidd doing?

Drew sees the chair and turns to Kidd shouting "What the hell are you doing? This is my match, get out of here!" But Kidd tells Drew to use the chair while the referee is distracted. Drew picks up the chair and slides it back out of the ring whilst still shouting at Kidd. Just then as Drew turns around Aries rakes his eyes and delivers a Brain Buster to Drew. The ref turns around just as Aries goes for the cover

What the hell? I think Tyson Kidd just accidentally screwed Drew out of Money in the Bank!

Kidd stands for a minute looking shocked and embarrassed as Aries leaves the ring before entering and trying to help up Drew. Just the Drew delivers a Codebreaker out of nowhere and quickly gets up to stand over Kidd. After a moment of looking down on the unconscious Kidd, Drew raises his hand in the air and his theme starts to play.

Will this be the scene on Sunday or will we be seeing a new WWF champion?

That's all Drew's decision now JR.

The show fades to black with Drew still standing with his hand raised in the middle of the ring.

--- Saturday Night Main Event ---

The camera cuts to the backstage area to show two divas, Kaitlyn and Kelly Kelly talking next to the water cooler.

Kaitlyn: I just feel so bad because he can so close to winning and lost it to Kazarian of all people, that just made it worse.

Kelly Kelly: That's too bad. I definitely thought he had it. I blame Daniels for distracting the ref, Cody would've had him.

I know. Cody got over it pretty quickly though, he says he has something big planned on Monday.

Oh really? What is it?

I have no idea. He won't tell me anything, he just keeps saying "Wait and see".

Oh well, you only have two days left to... Oh hey Drew!

Drew walks around the corner with an empty bottle in hand.

Uhh hey Kelly, Kaitlyn... What are you guys doing here?

Just hanging out. You know how it is.

Well I'm actually here with Cody but yeah.

With Cody? Wow it's been a while since I last seen him. I did see that he came up short in the WCW King of the Ring tournament though, that must've sucked.

It's President of the Ring.

Yeah I'm sorry but I can't bring myself to call it that.

Ugh I don't blame you.

What about you? I hear you're in the real King of the Ring tournament, how are you feeling about that?

I don't really know, I mean I'd like to say that I can win the whole thing but if I don't then I'd look like an ass so I'm going to save my predictions for now.

I don't think you'd look like an ass.

Well thanks.

Kaitlyn and Cody are throwing a party after the PPV on Sunday to celebrate Cody winning the tag titles back and reclaiming control of Rise, you should come.

Drew and Kaitlyn look at each other awkwardly for a second.

Yeah I don't think that's a good idea...

Why not?

???: ah Drew, why not?

Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian walk around the corner towards Drew and the girls.

Daniels: Actually come to think of it, why weren't we invited?

Because you're a pig

Now hold on just a minute...

Daniels takes a step forward towards Kaitlyn but is cut off by Drew.

I think you should stop right there if you know what's good for you.

Daniels laughs to himself and takes a step backwards. He then turns to Kaz, they both nod then he turns back to Drew.

Alright, I see how it is. You wanna play the tough guy huh? Well how about we see just how tough you actually are when you go one on one with me later tonight, what do you say?

I say I'd be plain stupid to agree to that. I say there's no way in hell that'd be a one on one match, if fact it would be two on one with you guys against yours truly...

That's understandable, you're scared I get it. in fact I...

You didn't let me finish... I accept.

Daniels and Kaz start laughing then walk away pushing past Drew as they do so. Just then Drew turns back around to find Cody standing face to face with him. They audience can be heard cheering from the arena.



After a minute Cody turns and walks away followed by Kaitlyn, the camera fades to black just as Drew and Kelly being talking some more.

I only had one part left to add to it I'd just get distracted. I'll definitely still go back and add in the last part as it's essential for story progression even though I technically no longer need to.
