The WCF is quickly becoming one of, if not the most, dominant brands in professional wrestling. There are many stars who have been in the WCF and many more who are joining. The best wrestlers from all over the world are coming to this brand, and it can be difficult to keep up with all the stars. That's why us here at WCF.com have decided to start sitting down and interviewing the wrestlers of the WCF. There will be weekly interviews that are exclusive to WCF.com. So with that being said, I present to you the second WCF.com Exclusive Interview...
Talking The Mizness by Dave Turner
It was a cold, midwestern day in Kansas City on December 9th. RAW was gearing up to start, as it always does on Monday nights. I meet up with the man I would be speaking to just after an autograph session at a local convention center. On this night, I would be talking to none other that Mike Mizanin, or better known to the WCF simply as The Miz. The Miz began his career in wrestling in 2003. He joined WWE's Tough Enough competition in 2004, where he finished as the first runner-up. He made is official debut in 2006 as a host for WWE's Diva search. His wrestling debut followed quickly that same year where he had a three month undefeated streak. After spending some very successful years in the WWE, including a WWE Championship run. He then joined what is now the WCF, where he has had a reign as the European Champion.
I noticed right away that this interview would do it's self. The Miz is no stranger to being in the public eye, and has no problem saying what needs to be said. After The Miz was finished signing autograph's and talking with his fans, I was able to sit down with him in a small room in the back of the convention center.
DT: Miz, you were famously on a reality show before coming to pro wrestling. Was wrestling always the final destination, or is there more in store for the Miz in the future?
MM: Growing up I was always viewed as a class clown and someone who was good at entertaining. Whether it was in the classroom or on stage during a play people loved my performance. Joining Real World allowed me to get my personality and my charisma out in the public which helped me later on. But in fact wrestling was my planned destination as in 2003 I signed with Ultimate Pro Wrestling hoping to become greats like Shawn Michaels, like Bret Hart, like Stone Cold Steve Austin and my personal all-time favorite, The Rock. To be able to stand in the ring where legends stood, to entertain like I loved to do, was always a personal goal. Is it the final destination? Only the future can tell, but it was certainly my main goal.

DT: Before this interview, you were publicly banned from Smackdown, one of the biggest drawing shows in the WCF and all of wrestling...what lead to this happening?
MM: Its actually quite simple. You see, back when Brad Maddox debuted, he was a young gun, much like myself and I respected that. He had the will and the want like I started with and he had a bright future for himself. During the Royal Rumble he beat not only myself, but one of the fiercest monsters in WWF at the time, Kane, for the WWF Hardcore Championship. The next month though, he lost it while I picked up the European Championship and week after week I could feel his cold, dark gaze on the back of my head as I would walk past him in the hallways and it got worse as time went on. At Backlash, he finally got what he wanted, a match against me for my title so he could attempt to shut me up. Unfortunately from him, I was able to show up week after week and proved that I had the bigger mouth and then proved at Backlash that I was the better wrestler. But I felt sorry for him, at the same time I was impressed. So I took him under my wing with a few other young guns who had my passion and spirit and Maddox decided to do things his way and that lead to the fallout of The Authority. After that, it all went downhill. I left the company and Maddox couldn't get anywhere without me, constantly being overlooked and ignored. Now that he is back in his power hungry state, he can get the revenge that he feels just. Its as simple is that. He blames me for all of his wrongdoings and failures.
DT: In your mind, who are the big time players in the WCF....and who are the phonies trying to grasp at strings?
MM: The big time players are simple, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and Dolph Ziggler either are or were the biggest players on the field. Those three men have everything from the looks to the charm to the talent. Total packages. The phonies? Well that can be a lot of guys. But, I'd rather not make more enemies than I can handle.
Of the record I talked with The Miz and we both talked about who we thought the phonies were, but since it is off the record, I obviously didn't want to ruin what trust The Miz had in me, and withheld that info. Also, after this question, one of the biggest fans of The Miz requested to see him. The fan, a young child visiting from a local children's hospital, was late to the signing event. The Miz had no problem putting the interview aside for a good half hour to visit with the kid. Afterwards, we continued to talk.
DT: Miz, if you could fight anyone in the world, alive or dead, who would it be?
MM: Simple, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Growing up The Rock was always my favorite wrestler and the way he would come out and just . . . electrify the crowd always left me amazed and astonished and he was the one sole person who got me interested in wrestling. Just so happens that he is also here in WCF.
DT: Final question Miz...What message, if any, do you have for the WCF locker room right now.
MM: A message? My name is Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin, and very soon, things are gonna get . . . AAAWWWEEESSSOOOMMMEEEE.
I can't think The Miz enough for the interview. He was a fantastic person to speak to and I look forward to talking to him again in the near future. You can catch The Miz in action every week on Monday Night RAW.
