Dull's Universe Empty
PostSubject: Dull's Universe   Dull's Universe EmptyThu Nov 28, 2013 4:45 pm

I'm running a modern day universe with Monday Night RAW, Friday Night Smackdown, and Saturday Night Superstars. 1 monthly PPV, but I have changed quite a few of the PPV's to one's I find more interesting. I also have removed a lot of the gimmick PPV's (Hell in a Cell, Extreme Rules, TLC, etc...) as I prefer to only use those type of matches when conditions really warrant it. Current rosters and champs:

RAW

AJ Lee
Brock Lesnar
Brodus Clay
Chris Jericho
CM Punk
Daniel Bryan
David Otunga
Dean Ambrose (US Champ)
Dolph Ziggler
Jack Swagger
John Cena (WWE Champ)
Kane
Kofi Kingston
The Miz
R-Truth
Rey Mysterio
The Rock
Roman Reigns (Tag Champs)
Ryback
Seth Rollins (Tag Champs)
Tensai
Triple H
Zack Ryder

Smackdown

Aksana
Alberto Del Rio (WHC Champ)
Antonio Cesaro
Big Show
Christian
Cody Rhodes
Damien Sandow
Darren Young
Drew McIntyre
Heath Slater
Jinder Mahal
Justin Gabriel
Kaitlyn
Layla
Mark Henry
Natalya
Randy Orton
Sheamus
Sin Cara
Titus O'Neil
Undertaker
Wade Barrett (IC Champ)

I will post PPV results. It's the first PPV, Spring Stampede

Match 1: ReySin Hell (terrible name, but, they are a terrible team) faces The Real Americans. These two have had a short, but bitter feud over the last month, with Swagger, Cesaro, and Zeb constantly taunting Rey and Sin Cara about sneaking across the border to be here. The match was a decent opener with all 4 men getting some nice moments. The match ended at 10:34 when Sin Cara attempted a top rope maneuver, only to be caught with a hellacious uppercut from Cesaro. The Real Americans stood in the ring waving the American flag, with their hands held over their hearts.

Rating: C-

Match 2: The Miz vs. Dean Ambrose (c) for the US Title - On the RAW after Wrestlemania, The Miz started the show by calling out Dean Ambrose. The two exchanged words about how Ambrose had won the US Title the night before. Ambrose ended up smirking with pleasure as The Shield attacked Miz and left him lying in the ring. This match was for the US Title, and for the first half of the match it looked like Ambrose was going to squash Miz. It looked like an early finish, but Miz was able to kick out of a vicious headlock driver. Miz then mounted his own offensive attack and was about to hit The Skullcrushing Finale, but Ambrose reversed it into another Headlock Driver. Miz kicked out again, but Ambrose finished him off with a Knee Trembler. Ambrose retains the US Title, and the Shield attacked Miz after the match. It looks like things are far from over between these two men.

Rating: C+

Match 3: Primetime Players vs. The Shield (c) for Tag Team Titles - PTP won a #1 Contender 4 way tag team match at Mania, earning the right to take on the Shield at The Stampede. This was a good back and forth match with both teams looking like they had the win, with multiple two counts. The match ended when Reigns hit a massive spear on Darren Young to retain the championship. The Shield tried to powerbomb Titus through the announce table, but D-Young made the save, sending The Shield fleeing into the crowd.

Rating: A-

Match 4: Sandow vs. Barrett for the IC Title - Sandow has been a thorn in Wade's side this month, constantly making Barrett look foolish week after week with mind games and excellent promos. A frustrated Barrett demanded Sandow face him at Spring Stampede, a match which Sandow agreed to but only if it was for the IC Title. Sandow gets off to a hot start, but loses his momentum as he gets too cocky and starts taunting Barrett. Barrett responds by going on a rampage, ending the match with Wasteland to retain the title. Barrett hits Sandow with the belt after the match.

Rating: C-

Match 5: Ziggler vs. The Rock - Just when it appeared The Rock was going to end The Undertaker's streak at Wrestlemania, Dolph Ziggler appeared and hit Rocky with a superkick, allowing Taker to keep the streak alive with a Tombstone. Ziggler justified his actions by telling the world that a half ass wrestler like the Rock didn't deserve to end the streak, and that at next year's Wrestlemania, The Show Off would shock the world by defeating the Undertaker. Clearly, The Rock didn't take kindly to Ziggler's attitude, and the two have been feuding all month with the Rock getting the better of most matches. It all comes to a head at The Stampede. This was a brutal match, as it was clear both men had something to prove. Dolph looked as though he was going to shock the world with a Zig Zag late in the match, but The Rock incredibly kicked out. The Show Off looked to finish the match with a superkick, but the Rock dodged out of the way and hit the Rock Bottom for the win. The Rock left the ring amid cheers from the crowd.

Rating: C

Match 6: Mark Henry vs. Alberto Del Rio (c) for World Heavyweight Championship - Henry won a triple threat number one contender match on the SD after Mania to earn the right to face Berty. ADR spent the month trying to weasel his way out of the match, attempting to bribe Vickie Guerrero and claiming he was not medically cleared to compete. Henry destroyed ADR on the SD before Spring Stampede, looking like a man who cannot be defeated. Henry looked unstoppable from the get go, as the match was basically a war of attrition for ADR. He tried to get Henry off his feet and keep away from him, but Mark was not to be denied. ADR did slap on the armbar, but Henry no sold it and continued his assault. Henry won by submitting ADR with a bearhug. Mark Henry is your NEW World Heavyweight Champion, but I'm sure that ADR won't take this result lying down.

Rating: B-

Match 7: CM Punk vs. John Cena (c) for WWE Championship. This is the match the universe has been waiting for. Both men are at the top of their game heading into their highly publicized match at Spring Stampede. Both men are faces at the moment, and so they have spent the month in games of one-upmanship. Both men have beaten Ryback, Kane, and Brock this month. This should be a great match. The crowd was hot for this one, and both men were up for it. For 15 minutes it was a frenetic back and forth match with each man getting some huge pops as they hit some big moves. Cena reversed a GTS and hit an AA, but Punk kicked out. Punk slapped on the Anaconda Vise, but Cena refused to tap out. Cena hit another AA and it was over, but no, Punk kicked out again. Cena was in disbelief, and Punk took advantage, hitting a dropkick and then going to the top rope. He called for the elbow, but Cena hopped up, caught Punk in ANOTHER AA and finished him off.

Rating: C - This rating is biased because I wanted Punk to win.

Match of the night: The Shield vs. PTP

Dull's Universe Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dull's Universe   Dull's Universe EmptyFri Dec 06, 2013 7:39 am

Here we are at King of the Ring.  One man will be leaving here tonight able to call himself the true King of the WWE.  (I think I'm going to do KOTR with main event guys so that I can use MITB for my mid-card guys who need a push.  My first thought is to have the winner of King of the Ring get a title shot at the next PPV, but I'm open to other ideas for the big winner.  Anyone got any fucking awesome ideas?  Additionally, I'm ignoring the fact that in the KOTR PPV set up, you essentially have a 6 match card and then the KOTR tournament.  Anyway, on to the results).

Match 1: Drew McIntyre vs. Justin Gabriel in a Submission Match - Drew has been distancing himself from the train wreck that is 3MB by taking aim at Wade Barrett's Intercontinental Championship.  Unfortunately, the Capetown Werewolf had precisely the same idea.  In order to eliminate the competition, McIntyre persuaded Jinder and Heath to "take out" Gabriel, but that plan backfired as Gabriel was able to defeat the two numbskulls in a handicap match earlier in the month.  Gabriel then called out Drew for his underhanded tactics and the rivalry began.  The two jerk the curtain at the King of the Ring tournament, with the winner gaining some serious momentum in their quest for the IC belt.  Surprisingly, 3MB stayed out of this one, perhaps at Drew's instruction as he wanted to look like a strong contender.  This was an excellent match with both men going all out in pursuit of their dream.  Gabriel hit a massive 450 splash and locked in an armbar, but Drew was able to reverse the move.  Later, Drew crushed Gabriel with a Future Shock and looked to submit Gabriel with a Boston Crab.  Unfortunately for Drew, Gabriel reached the ropes and broke the hold.  Gabriel mounted some offense and hitting McIntyre with a beautiful enziguri, Gabriel made Drew tap with a Koji Clutch.

Match Rating: A+

Match 2: Damien Sandow vs. Wade Barrett in a Tables Match for the Intercontinental Championship - After beating Sandow last month at the Spring Stampede and knocking him out with the title belt, Wade Barrett thought he was done with the Intellectual Savior.  Not so fast Wade.  It was rumored that Sandow was seriously injured in the match and would be out for a few months, but during Barrett's KOTR qualifying match against Dolph Ziggler, Sandow reappeared just when it looked like Barrett was going to win, and hit Barrett with his own belt.  Obviously the ref had been sufficiently bumped a few moments before to not be savvy to the goings on.  Furious at losing his opportunity, Barrett called out Sandow again, putting his title on the line at the King of the Ring PPV.  Barrett's only stipulation?  If he beat Sandow again, Damien could never challenge for the IC belt as long as Wade was champion.  Sandow readily agreed and the match was a go.  On the go home show before KOTR, Barrett crushed Sandow through the announcers table with Wasteland, and standing over his prone body announced their match would be a tables match.  These two rivals definitely delivered the goods, following up the previous match hot start.  They brutalized each other in the first ten minutes or so, with neither man looking to grab a table.  However, once one table came into the ring, more followed and soon, each corner had a table leaning in it.  Barrett hit the Bull Hammer elbow knocking Sandow back into one of the tables.  Barrett grabbed another table, set it up in the middle of the ring, pulled Sandow over and pushed him onto the table.  Barrett climbed to the top turnbuckle, pointed down at the prone Sandow and with a nasty elbow drop, put Sandow through the table, retaining the IC title and making sure Sandow couldn't come near it.

Match Rating: B+

Match 3: 6 Woman Battle Royal for Divas Title: Layla wins.  Yea.

Match Rating: Bleh

Match 4: Cody Rhodes vs. The Big Show - Cody and Show were the other two members of the triple threat #1 Contenders match at Mania which Henry won.  The two blamed each other for their loss, and their already obvious antipathy went into overdrive.  The last two months have seen Cody Rhodes dodging a one on one matchup with Show, knowing that the odds will not be in his favor.  Ingratiating himself to SD general manager Vickie Guerrerro, Cody has been able to put Show in all sorts of uncomfortable situations, from gauntlet matches against the Shield to threats of being fired if he lays a hand on Cody Rhodes.  It looks as though time is running out for Cody however, as Big Show was somehow able to gain the match he has wanted for months at the King of the Ring PPV.  Though it is unclear why Vickie agreed, it may have had something to do with undisclosed evidence Show presented to Vickie behind closed doors.  Cody has spent the last few weeks dodging the Big Show, and attackihg him from behind whenever he could, but Show looks to corner Cody tonight.  Basically, a squash match that let the fans see Cody get his comeuppance on paper, Cody showed why he was one of the hottest superstars today, fighting gamely against the power of Show.  Everyone knew Show would win this match, and he did as Cody get KO'd with a nasty looking WMD with Cody's head against the ring post to end the match.  Reports are that Cody will be out with a serious concussion for some time.

Match Rating: B-

Match 5: Henry vs. ADR for WHC Title - Citing his rematch clause on the RAW immediately after losing the championship, Alberto Del Rio has spent the last month plotting how to get "his" belt back from the much more powerful Henry.  Henry has spent the last month on a tear, crushing his opponents each and every week.  Even when Del Rio paid to have Kevin Nash and Scott Hall team up against Henry, Mark survived both men to look like an absolute world beater.  Del Rio will not reveal his strategy for the match, but trying to match Henry strike for strike is suicide.  ADR gave his best effort, and spent a lot of the match running, but Henry is just on a huge tear and made easy work of Del Rio.  STILL WHC champion, Mark Henry.

Match Rating: C- (This should probably be a D+, but it was fun seeing ADR get his ass beat)

Match 6: John Cena vs. CM Punk in an I Quit match for WWE Championship – After surviving CM Punk at Spring Stampede, Cena watched with interest as a 6 man elimination chamber match was set for the following RAW to determine the #1 Contender.  With Ziggler attacking the Rock as RAW began and hitting him with a superkick off the stage, there was an extra spot in the chamber match.  Guess who?  Punk was put into the match and defeated Ziggler, Kane, Daniel Bryan, Ryback, and Lesnar to be the number one contender again.  The two sparred verbally throughout the month, but no physical altercations.  Punk, angry at losing last month, claimed that Cena could never stop him from gaining the championship.  Cena responded by challenging Punk to the I Quit match, saying that after he makes Punk quit, it's going to be the end of his road.  Punk agreed but only if Cena put his rematch clause on the line.  Punk came out like a house on fire, assaulting Cena with all manner of offense.  Cena gained some momentum with a flurry of strikes and looked to have Punk dead to rights with an AA off the apron, but Punk refused to quit.  Later, Punk locked Cena in the Anaconda Vise and forced Cena to quit.  Your NEW WWE CHAMPION – CM PUNK

Match Rating: C- (The right guy won, but it was a mediocre match)

KOTR Tournament

The Rock vs. Chris Jericho – The Rock returns to a huge pop to take on Jericho.  The Rock wins by rollup.

Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler – Ziggler wins via Zig Zag

The Rock vs. Dolph Ziggler – The rivalry renewed after Ziggler's assault on Rock after Stampede.  A good match, with Ziggler reversing a Rock Bottom to hit a Zig Zag.  Rock kicks out and hits The Rock Bottom to become the King of the Ring.

Match Rating: B-

Match of the night: Gabriel vs. McIntyre - Perhaps the best match I've seen in 2k14

It's Bash at the Beach.  The feuds are hot, the divas are hotter, and this is gonna be some of the hottest wrasslin' action Myrtle Beach has ever seen.  So get out your cardboard cutouts, your lotion bottles, and your DVR's because we are ready to strike-up-the-band in the sand.

Pre-show Match: Tons of Funk vs. 3MB - With The Shield firmly in control of the tag titles, and the Real Americans, the Prime Time Players, and the Usos looking like the next three best teams, Tons of Funk and 3MB had little choice but to feud with each other.  McIntyre tried to separate himself from 3MB, but after his loss to Gabriel at KOTR, he is back in the fold.  Might he be the difference maker tonight? To generate excitement for the PPV, we've made this a tornado tag team match to get the fans' temperature rising.  Wow, I haven't seen a more entertaining squash match.  ToF was on 3MB from the get go and used and abused them like two bitches.  We're talking announce tables, apron DDT's, barrier tackles.  The crowd was hot for watching 3MB just get their ass beat.  I thought this match was suck, but really enjoyed it.

Match rating: A-

Match 1: Zach Ryder vs. R-Truth - Similar to Drew/Gabriel, these two have been feuding as they both look to move up the rankings of the United States Championship.  Neither man has been able to distinguish himself from the crowd, so they faced off over the last three months multiple times.  Tonight is their big blow-off and while the fans aren't totally committed, both men have been getting over a bit more.  Wow, what a match.  Maybe these men know that they are low on the totem pole, but it's two months in a row with amazing opening matches between two mid-card-would-be-a-generous-description superstars.  Ryder took the early lead, using his speed to run circles around Truth, knocking him down at every opportunity with dropkicks and running strikes.  Finally, Truth caught Ryder as he went for the Broski Boot, and mounted some offense of his own, culminating in what looked like the end for Ryder.  However, Zach dodged a Lie Detector and followed with a Zack Attack for the 1-2-3.

Match Rating - A+

Match 2: The Miz vs. Dean Ambrose in a TLC Match for the United States Championship - This match was brutal.  Both men ended up covered in blood.  Both men had their hands on the suspended champion belt at one point in the match, only to be denied.  Both men followed up the white hot match before them with a great effort.  Dean Ambrose retained the championship by slamming Miz's head off the ladder and then kicking him off.

Match Rating: B-

Match 3: Sheamus vs. Chris Jericho - These two have been enemies since the Royal Rumble, as Sheamus eliminated Jericho and then Chris distracted Sheamus as Randy Orton knocked Great White over the top rope.  A match between the two was teased for Wrestlemania, but with Sheamus nursing a rib injury, WWE brass decided to hold the match off until later.  It has been months of hard looks and harder punches as both men have, at times, looked to have had the upper hand.  Finally, frustrated with some recent losses, Jericho challenged Sheamus to a 30 minute iron man match at Bash at the Beach, saying that if Sheamus could beat him in a match like that, then Jericho didn't deserve to be in WWE anymore.  A decent little match, though it didn't live up to my expectations.  Jericho locked in the walls of Jericho with 20 seconds left to go, but Sheamus refused to tap and won the match 4-3.

Match Rating: C

Match 4: Shield vs. PTP for the Tag Titles - At Spring Stampede, The Shield successfully defended their titles against PTP in an amazing match. Now, the two teams meet again. Can it live up to the previous contest? The quick answer is no. The two teams tried their best, but the crowd was emotionally exhausted after the Iron Man match and couldn't get into this one. The Shield retains after Reigns spears Titus.

Match Rating: D

Match 5: Big Show vs. Mark Henry for WHC Championship - Show earned his spot in this match by decimating Cody Rhodes last month. Two titans enter the ring, only one can walk away with the WHC belt. HOLY SHIT. This match was way better than it had any right to be. It was like a war. Show chokeslammed Henry onto the steel steps. Henry delivered the WSS onto those same steps. Henry retained the belt with a WSS in the ring, but the crowd ate this one up. Both big men delivered definitely the best match of 2013.

Match Rating: A+

Match 6: From Rock's KOTR win, to Ziggler superkicking Rock out of a number one contender's elimination chamber match, these two have had the best rivalry over the last few months. It all comes to a head at the beach. The antipathy between these two men was on full display as they tore the house down as well. The Bash at the Beach has been the best PPV thus far, and it will be hard to top this card. The Rock reminded everyone why he is considered one of the best wrestlers in the modern era, and Dolph Ziggler reminded the crowd why they call him the Show Off, easily stealing the show on this night. Ziggler sold Rocky's offense like a champ, making the Rock truly look like the Brahma Bull. Rock hit the Rock Bottom, burying Ziggler's chances of a title shot any time soon, and wins the match.

Match Rating: A-

Match 7: Ryback vs. Punk for WWE Championship - Ryback was quick to assert himself as Punk's first challenge as WWE champion. He has gotten the better of Punk repeatedly throughout the month, and, with Heyman at Ryback's side, Punk's championship reign may be short lived. The match wasn't worthy of the top spot on the card due to the dirty finish, as Heyman hits Punk in the back of the head with the title while the ref wasn't looking to allow Ryback to hit the Shellshock and win the title. Your NEW WWE champion. Ryback (and Paul Heyman). I guess it's good to be a Paul Heyman guy.

Match Rating: C-

Dull's Universe Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dull's Universe   Dull's Universe EmptyMon Dec 16, 2013 4:53 am

Oh yeah, my favorite PPV, Money in the Bank.  Tonight one of these six men (Sandow, Cesaro, Gabriel, Ambrose, Swagger, Kofi) will walk out holding the MITB briefcase.  It's going to be a hot show, with some great feuds paying off and some mid-card talent rising to the top ranks.

Pre-show match: The Usos vs. ReySin Hell.  After winning the King of the Ring, The Rock introduced us to two members of his family, THE USOS.  These two young men went on a tear through the first few weeks after their debut, and then ran into Rey and Sin Cara.  ReySin Hell was able to stop the hot streak of the The Usos and set up a semi-rivalry the fans ate up for its high flying, up-tempo, frenetic matches.  The two teams put on a great show to warm up people for MITB, with ReySin Hell earning the win as Mysterio hit a double 619 on the two Usos.  After the match, Eddie Guerrero came down to celebrate with ReySin Hell.  Does this mean a return for Eddie is imminent?

Match rating: A

Match 1: Randy Orton vs. Christian in a Last Man Standing match.  These two have been feuding for the last three months, with both men claiming that they deserve the next shot at the WHC championship.  I had high hopes for this match, but it was a bit of a dud with Orton destroying Christian from bell to bell and picking up the win.

Match rating: C-

Match 3: Zack Ryder vs. Deam Ambrose (c) for the US Championship - As GM, I have been trying to keep Ryder down, but he has been getting hotter and hotter as the summer rolls on.  I expected Ambrose to make quick work with Ryder, and move on to a nice feud with Kofi, but Ryder refused to be overlooked.  This was an amazing match, with some great high spots.  Ryder laid out Ambrose on the announce table and then flew from the turnbuckle.  Ambrose hit an apron DDT on Ryder which I thought would end it in a count out, but Ryder struggled to his feet.  Ryder ended the match with a Rough Ryder out of nowhere to become the NEW United States champion.  Ambrose couldn't believe it, but he shouldn't be too upset, because he's being pushed to the championship picture.

Match Rating: A+

Match 4: Justin Gabriel vs. Wade Barrett (c) for IC Championship in a Tables Match - I really wanted Gabriel to win this match, and he competed well, but the Barrett Barrage was too much.  Barrett put Gabriel through a table with the Winds of Change after a decent, if not spectacular match.

Match Rating: B

Match 5: Big Show vs. Mark Henry (c) for WHC Championship with special referee...BATISTA - After the show these two put on last month, the WWE universe voted for Big Show to get another shot at the title.  The two men spent the month absolutely destroying each other, with Show chokeslamming Henry through a table and KO'ing him off the stage with a WMD, and with Henry delivering the WSS onto the top of a car, and off of the apron to the ground below.  Right before the match began, GM Vickie Guerrero came out and announced there would be a special guest referee,  a man who would be able to control these two huge men.  Batista came out to a huge pop, and the match began.  Batista called the match right down the middle, as both Henry and Show got close two counts after hitting their finishers.  However, when Show geared up for another WMD, Batista sprang into action, amazingly delivering a Batista Bomb to the giant.  Henry went for the cover, and Batista delivered a quick three count, but NO...Randy Orton stormed the ring with a sledgehammer knocking out Batista.  A new ref entered the fray, and Show recovered enough to KO Henry and pick up the victory, becoming the NEW WHC CHAMPION.

Match Rating: B-

Match 6: CM Punk vs. Ryback (c) for WWE Championship - Still fuming over being screwed by Paul Heyman out of his championship, CM Punk has taken the fight to Ryback this month.  Heyman was banned from ringside by COO HHH, giving what appeared to be a fair fight for Punk.  However, things were not as fair as they seemed, as Punk came into the match limping.  Someone in a black ski mask had attacked Punk only moments before the match, a someone who was short, a bit rotund and carried a lead pipe.  With his mobility compromised, Punk lost after a valiant effort, giving Ryback his first title defense.

Match Rating: C-

Money in the Bank Match: Sandow vs. Cesaro vs. Gabriel vs. Kofi vs. Swagger vs. Ambrose - Not the best MITB match I've ever seen, but I would have liked any of these guys to win so that made it fairly entertaining.  I was really pushing for Ambrose after his shocking title loss earlier, but Kofi was able to pull down the briefcase with Ziggler interfering and taking out Sandow, and with Kane's appearance destroying everyone else, Kofi's path was cleared.  When will he cash it in?

Match Rating: C-
